@roaminglion  it’s a sick thing Roam I’m just surprised all the coaches weren’t fired nit it’s true but what I’m really surprised at is these guys don’t fight back. There’s always exceptions Roam but wouldn’t you think one kid would’ve grabbed a helmet and beat somebody’s ass because I’m sure if it’s a real good ass kicking Fitz would’ve wanted to know why they were fighting. These football players are tough dudes so it’s not like they’re wimpy. I don’t know brother it’s a different world today.

They are 18 year old kids and my guess is not exactly the 5* recruits either. They basically take it or those guys make their lives miserable until they quit.

That's how it goes, and this narrative that "it's not happening because tough guys would never let it happen to them because they are tough" narrative really needs to f%#^^ing die. It isnt about physical strength or being tough... it is about power, leverage, and control.

@roaminglion  Roam, I taught my kids to walk away and it worked because none of my kids have ever been in a fight and both my sons played football and wrestled. I’m a believer if you walk away you’ll get out of trouble 99% of the time but there is that 1% that you might have to stand your ground and it sounds like a few kids from NW was put in that situation. Ralphy was a perfect example in the Christmas story. That’s real life for some kids rather it’s fair or not. You either fight or you keep getting picked on that’s just the way it is unfortunately.

Ralphy is a poor example, because the bully didn't hold his future in his hands. It's all well and good to fight back when it's just someone picking on you, it's a whole different thing when they seemingly hold your future in the balance. That's where the power dynamic comes into play. I'm sure a lot of guys still mutter the nonsense of "why doesn't she just leave him" about guys beating up their wives too. Many never think about what that woman has to lose by doing so. It is not just about physical strength.

Let's put it this way, say someone is picking on you at work... It would be a lot different if it was just some random guy, or say the son of the owner who could get his dad to fire you and also blackball you from other trucking companies as well. Now it's not just about "standing up for yourself", your future in the job as well as providing for your family is in play. Not so simple then.

@roaminglion  don’t think I’m not sick about this crap because I am. If I had my way about it people that do the hazing in college or high school they’d get automatic 2 to 5 years in prison with no deals if found guilty. After juvenile they go to prison with no deals. Crap like this and rioters I have absolutely no sympathy you get hard time 2 to 5 years and most of this crap would stop. Beating on women you get 10 years with no deals and serve every day.
