2019 was ALWAYS the year that Franklin would finally have "his team", not 16,17 or 18....success came too fast..and that's a good thing and why we shouldn't be crying over 2 losses, or even three. https://www.blackshoediaries.com/2018/10/17/17977158/james-franklin-and-penn-state-nittany-lions-football-have-been-victims-of-their-own-success?fbclid=IwAR1Y3xNC4C6OR9CSpau3HWABOFYorhbvx5bZwrZe97uy7Jhh_kc3xJdjVpY
I agree Murray, I’ll take every win we can get. We lost last week because we dropped the football it’s that simple. When it was crunch time Michigan st made a play and we dropped the ball and it cost us a win, it happens and it’s part of football but the good thing is we had a chance to win. We just need to clean up the drops and for God’s sake stop with the stupid penalties.
Fair enough, but I'm a bit worried about the O'line and quarterback position for next year. Without a top notch quarterback and better than this year O'line, it's going be a long season.
Expect 3 more eggs. Michigan, Iowa and Wisconsin
We got 6 regular season games to worry about this year and hopefully a good bowl game. I’m not worried about next year because Steven will be good and so will Clifford. We have a lot of football left this year to enjoy. The good news about the problems we’ve had this year are easy to fix.....hang on to the ball and stop with the stupid penalties.
We’ll win 2 of the 3. Clean up a few things and we can win all 3
They haven’t peaked. That’s absurd. Three years ago most wanted him fired while level headed people agreed 2019 was the year he’d finally have “his team”. That’s just absurd to say they’ve peaked. Possibly 19 returning starters next year? Only a handful this year. I know people don’t want to hear it but even last year they were still dealing with fallout from sanctions.
We play them one at a time, so win them, one at a time. We cannot beat Iowa this week, nor can we lose to them this week.
The sanctions are long gone. Can't use that as an excuse anymore. That's over .
A lot of the alleged level headed people were saying 2018 and now they're saying 2020. And then next year they'll most likely be saying 2022. And it's far from absurd to say that the team has possibly peaked under Franklin.
Long gone?? Last year they still had a shortage from them. Two years ago they could barely field an offensive line due to them. No. Not long gone Your lack of knowledge of football is showing.
You mean that an OL can't transpose his skills from HS to D1 level CFB immediately? Are you saying that in order to field an effective OL you need cohesion, trust and teamwork that takes longer than pre-season training and 6 games?
No Murray, no excuses. Sure, you'll say that now due to the past 2 losses and uncertainty with the remaining season. It still stings you that OSU and MSU beat your beloved Nittanylions. You pounded your chest the last 2 years about recruiting and how well Franklin is doing. Franklin already won the Big 10 title. Enough with your bull crap excuses. Absolutely pathetic the way you change your outlook on things when your favorite team gets back to back losses. Still have Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa. I'm even having doubts about Saturday's meeting with Indiana. Ask your friend Marty.
Actually you've already predicted Indiana as a loss and now here you are saying "you have doubts". What's pathetic is how you predict everything under the sun and then think people are dumb enough to think you actually got something right.
Your lose every day when you wake up in Aristes,PA.
Oh, great. Now I got your stupidity to deal with. You're just another chest pounding Saturday fan who can't make up his mind if he likes Franklin or not as a coach. Phony
