So now the Powell police won't release their case file from 2015, something commonly done in other instances. Usually they will release the file and redact the names of uncharged individuals, so they don't identify them. However, now that Zach Smith said he was the guy... apparently they say that now they can't release it. A decision that most legal experts in Ohio say is nonsense.
Then we have the AD at the time, saying felony charges were not brought against Zach Smith because felony domestic abuse requires pregnancy or repeat offenders. She then said she has no idea why misdemeanor domestic abuse charges were never filed.
The Powell police chief made it sound like the ADs office weren't bringing charges, therefore "the police hands were tied". The AD thent stated misdemeanor charges aren't filed by her department and they have no control over it. Sounds fishy... police won't release the file that is legally allowed to be released, and the police chief said they couldn't bring charges while the AD directly contradicts that?
Oh yeah, and the best part is the police chief says he had no idea who Zack Smith was. Like, no clue that the guy whose house his police force have been to multiple times over the past 5 years was connected to Ohio State at all. Said he first learned of the connection to OSU after media reports. Kind of makes you wonder how seriously they took the investigation in 2015
Weirder and stranger.
Maybe they have a culture problem. Just sayin'.
Don't worry, the Commish is on top of t.
Has anybody heard a word from the 2 dirtbags Mark emmert or Jim Delany?
Delaney said "It's possible that (Meyer) lied, iIt'spossible that he wasn't prepared. Those are the two extremes. I'm more than willing to let the investigation play out. ... I'm not going to pre-judge."
Ummm... No Jim, he DID lie. He admitted to lying. LOL
What's the next level beyond bizarre called?
What the...
Maybe freaky or outlandish?
