MC is doing a good job recruiting, but not great. Not getting the top talent from PA is concerning for sure. The 2028 class will be the barometer for his ability to get the best players in the state.
as far as the two remaining wr are concerned, I think they played PS to get the most money from anyone and never planned to be at PSU. Maybe wrong, but it looks like they got the most money from Auburn and Nebraska. If so, good riddance, don’t want players who don’t want to be here. So I really don’t think those schools out recruited PS, they just bought them. My thoughts.
@phantom-punch-65 he got to Penn St late so he doesn’t know and have any kind of relationship with the 2026 players. I’m sure he’s building relationships with the players for 2027. We got our 2026 class from Iowa St their top 20-25 players which is much better than 25 players that’s never played college football. That’s a great trade off imo
If we go 11-1 and make the BTC, I am sure you'll see that those in-state kids who were "commited" to other schools were just waiting to see if MC could succeed here

We need Rocco to go out and show this isn’t the same Penn St passing offense that James Franklin had and show we can throw the ball. I thought Grunk did that but pretty dang but maybe these kids didn’t pay attention after the first 6 game disasters last year. The QB and WR’s were just fine after Franklin was shown the door. Great get. Credit Terry for this one. As far as the remaining PA wr is concerned, Colorado just came in with an over the top money offer and his current ranking is Neb, CO, PS in that order. It’s a bidding war he set up and has nothing to do with winning a championship, NEb and CO will never get into the 12 team playoffs and I doubt they will make a 24 team playoff. So this is all about money. BTW he has had 2 agents so far. I say let him go and look to other options including the portal for wrs. Maybe that’s recruiting in this era, money money money.

If those numbers are correct the program is in big trouble...They spent 2 BILLION dollars on stadium and facility renovations and if they can't put a winning product on the field they might has well have had a bon fire with that money...that they are spending roughly 60% of what Ohio State is to me is unacceptable...I said this the moment this NIL stuff came to pass that you were going to see some programs surge to the forefront and it is no surprise that Oregon and some of these other programs have all of a sudden become top 5 programs...I am here to tell all of you that if this is what they are planning on doing this program ain't never going anywhere...You can't spend 40% of what your top competition is and think you are winning...Now you know why all the PA recruits are going elsewhere...As far as I am concerned this is a disgrace...They lose 3 or 4 games this year you can pack up the bus...They got Michigan on the road, A tough Washington team on the road in a tough building to play in and USC at home...Those are the 3 big games this season...He loses all 3 look out...I am keeping my mouth shut...We shall see...To me the odds ain't with him...This bargain basement stuff isn't a consistent recipe for winning...To me personally there is no reason why PSU is in the middle of the pack with NIL spending...This program should be top 10...There is no reason Ohio State is outspending them by almost double...

I don't doubt these numbers Pipe...As a matter of fact it all makes sense...In my opinion these PA kids that are going elsewhere are doing so for one primary reason...$$$$$...That to me is a disgrace...The program has a cupcake schedule this season as opposed to prior seasons with 3 difficult games on their schedule...The program cut a coach loose that couldn't win these games so we shall see how Coach Campbell does in these games...This is going to be a very interesting season...
I think MC is a very good coach and has a good staff. they could win 10 games with their schedule. The real long term problem is that their 3 and 4 star players against the 5 star will not work well. Money is the reason we are not getting the elite players. You see the big difference in the nil numbers.
