@underlion no rape involved. He was fired for violating university policy. After he was fired he went to her place, probably grabbed her or something but proceeded to threaten to kill himself and told her it was her fault for ruining his life. It was in the police report in court today.
Actually prosecutors say there is no evidence he threatened or harmed the girl.
For some, inappropriate means "he stood within my 10 ft bubble of solitude, therefore he was inappropriate"Inappropriate? What is that definition in this day? She was of age I assume and the authorities are involved so that suggests the R word? Unless there was a mascot involved.
I say he was set up, they wanted rid of him for losing and they needed cause....

I'll say this... Moore is a PoS of the highest degree. It's come out that he invited Instagram models to be his guest at games. He was having an affair with a staffer (it's inappropriate due to being against UM policies). He was cheating on his wife with multiple partners, or at least trying to. And then when it all comes out, he threatens to kill himself and tells his mistress "his blood is on your hands"
That is not a mental break. That is NOT mental illness. That is a narcissistic manipulative PoS trying to still control the situation. IMO he never had any intention of killing himself, he just wanted control.

Reading between the lines it would seem he had a fling with an underling...not correct in any business, always a harassment risk due to the power. Then he is fired for cause. Clearly it qualified as 'cause'. Might it have been ignored, corrected etc had he been performing 'on the field'? Who knows? Then he has a melt down and threatens maybe his own life and the girls life? Man, I can't think of seeing anyone crash and burn faster. Well to the public it looks like a fast crash and burn....in realty it was much slower. Am I close?

As a business owner and professional person...I have a saying that I say to all of the guys that work for me...No excuses...You don't dip your pen in the company ink...It's obvious this guy Moore has a problem...I refuse to believe if he had his wannabe tootsie pops roaming the sidelines that the A.D. and Michigan administration didn't know what was going on...From my viewpoint it appears that they looked the other way as long as he beat Ohio State but when the situation seemed to spiral out of control which these situations always do their hand was forced and they cut this guy loose...I can tell you that program is in trouble short term because to get a coach and hold a program together at this time of the year isn't going to be easy...They don't have a lot of time to get a coach in here and someone that has some gravitas is going to be even harder...Michigan has problems and I for one ain't shedding any tears over it...
@FD I have to suspect you are right, I bet UM knew early enough to have a 'come to Jesus meeting' with him but for whatever reason they didn't. Would they have have corrected him had he beat OSU this year? Maybe, but it seems late. So my guess is that UM has some responsibility.
@the-funeral-director you do not have all the correct information, both parties denied a fling and in order to avoid any lawsuits and to be able to fire for cause they needed absolute proof. That proof came last week when the woman came forward after break off the relationship.

There is no way in hell the AD and the University heads and administration didn't know about this and turned a blind eye for whatever reason...The same shit happened with ole cousin Urban at Florida...The only difference is this woman is a bit older and not a Coed...I know they cut that girl a pretty big check at Florida to go away and be quiet...This situation at Michigan is a bit different as that woman was or is an employee of the University...These situations NEVER end well...I have to believe there is an adult in the room at Michigan who is going to demand some answers as to how this went on so long without anything being addressed...I find it stunning that this guy had his tootsie pops roaming the sidelines during games...There are a lot of folks at Michigan within the athletic dept and even the administration that have a lot of explaining to do...I expect to see the AD either stepping down or being fired as well as other upper level administrators as a result of this nonsense...This thing is far from over in my opinion...
I am not going down the road of "They had to know" / "I can't believe they didn't know" because I've seen accusations like that before, real close up.

From what I understand the investigation was going for a while so yes they apparently suspected something was going on but they’re not going to fire a guy for cause without having actual evidence.

I concur with the spirit of what you are saying Roam...But how do you deny not seeing a bunch of tootsie pops roaming the sidelines during a football game? You would figure somebody would ask who are these people and why are they here? I can't imagine they hand out sideline passes for football games without asking who you know or what is your purpose for being there? I know things have changed since my days of playing sports but I can't believe it is that loosey goosey that you got people roaming your sidelines without some sort of credentials and somebody vouching for you to get those credentials...I am going to assume and I know all about the word "ASS U ME" aspect of that but I think it is a safe to assume that at the very least the A.D. is on the field at some point during a football game to see who is there...Somebody at that University issues those field passes...That is a very public thing so I feel confident in assuming that at the very least someone of authority knew those tootsie pops were on the sideline and if they didn't they should be fired for not knowing...
