And that kind of idiotic logic is exactly what is ridiculous about it. We played two undefeated teams, they played Notre Dame and Indiana. The "eye test" is incredibly stupid to use when you have actual data like head to head available.
Here is why... By that same stupid logic Wisconsin should have obliterated Illinois. Wisky destroyed Michigan, and Michigan destroyed Illinois, so........ But guess what, Illinois beat Wisky. Just because Michigan beat Indiana 39-14 and ours was closer doesn't mean anything. Sure, in absence of any other data you could say that but there is a head to head AND blowout losses. "Playing better" is completely subjective and ignore reality.

Winners win, losers lose. We lost two out of four lately. We are good, not great or elite. Learn to live with it or pay more for massage chairs for players in the ice cream lounge. Or just be pissed off like you are. I'm kind of laughing at it all. They talked about how great our defensive ends were in the pre season and I don't even know if they played in the last four games. There was no pass rush. It's all hype to pay coaches 5 million per year. Get a grip. We played ok, but we are not a great team. Go to a game. It is all advertising for your dollar. Everyone gets so caught up on how teams "look", that they ignore what they did all year. Good for Michigan, they look "good" against us in the 2nd half (games are 4 quarters) and against the fraud known as Notre Dame. That doesn't magically disappear A LOSS TO US HEAD TO HEAD.
At any rate, after they lose to Ohio State we will be ranked ahead of them again. Honestly though, I don't think the CFP committee will put them ahead of us anyway, but who knows.
So Ohio st is elite with 4* and 5* players all over the field and some think they have a chance at winning the NC including myself but we’re just an ok team that was toe to toe with Ohio st the last 3 years lol. We had a chance Saturday but like last year guys were put in position to make a play to help win the game and #4 can’t catch the ball it’s that simple. Bottom line is to beat Ohio st and the 2 or 3 teams out there that’s as good as Ohio st you have to step up and make a play to win and the last 3 years we haven’t had that. That’s a different game if we step up and catch the dang ball. In 2016 we had players to step up in crunch time we blocked the kick and #15 picked that $h’T up and wasn’t goi g to be denied a TD because he was running his butt off to the end zone. Arguably the best QB Ohio st had ever had JT Barrett had 5 minutes to help his team win but our defense wasn’t having any of it they went out there and sacked his butt for the win jack it’s that simple. It happens to most of the teams playing teams that have better players that’s just the facts but the coaches can only put guys in position to have a chance to win and our coaches have done that we just haven’t executed the plays to win because we can’t catch the F’ing ball on offense or defense or we fumble in critical situations. USC, Michigan State, Ohio State and Kentucky were all winnable games we just didn’t step up and make the nitty gritty play to win the game. It’s not complicated go back and look at the tape. When you are put in position to win a game with less talent that’s great coaching and that’s exactly what James Franklin has done. If our players wasn’t in position to have a chance then you have a coaching problem but that’s not the case. It will and has got better we just need to keep doing what we’re doing and we will eventually get guys to make plays in crunch time and some are on this team now. The situation from the sanctions is what it is and I’ve said many times were still not a 100% we’re playing around 85% and that little extra 15% does make a difference when you’re playing Ohio State, Michigan, LSU and the Tide because the dudes are stacked at every position and to beat ‘em you have to come ready to play and make no mistakes. Ole Slick Nick made some mistakes coaching in the LSU game This year and you know what, it beat him!

Compare schedules?? Seriously?? PSU is 1-1 against top 10 teams. Michigan is 0-2. PSU's SOS is #12 where Michigan's is #24. You seriously need to think things thru before making such foolish statements. You're making this way too easy on us.
