I saw one site that thinks Penn State will still end up in the Rose Bowl vs Oregon.  Another thinks Penn State vs Bama in the Orange.  Guess that has a lot to do with next week and Conference games.

I think the loss against Ohio State and how they played at the end matured this team in 30 minutes.  Would love to see them play another top 10 team in a bowl game.

I would love to see them hang 50 on Bob Schoop & Tenn. (if he is still there).  If not, then 45.  Just don't like "Old Rocky Top".

I’m hoping for the Rose Bowl that’s a fun game to watch if we’re in it.

What scares me now is Alabama getting in again, that Oregon loss opened the door HUGE for them. If LSU, Ohio State, and Clemson win out that means it's Alabama, Utah, or Baylor/Oklahoma. I think Utah will lose to Oregon in the Pac 12 title game, and neither Baylor nor Oklahoma would jump Alabama... unless Alabama looks terrible against Auburn.

Then guess what? Alabama AGAIN.  Imagine Baylor's feelings on the CFP??? In 2014 they won the Big 12 and were passed over for Ohio State, mainly because they didn't play a title game that year (Big 12 didn't have one). This year, they would have played a title game... and would be passed over for a team who didn't play one? That would be criminal. LMAO

Even as an Alabama fan I don't want to see them make the playoff, it's bad for college football. People are getting tired of it, the ratings for the NC would be a disaster if Clemson played Alabama AGAIN. Personally, at this point I'm hoping for a LSU vs. Ohio State NC.

Because you don't know who can beat them or not. It's completely subjective that 11-1 Alabama is better than 12-1 Baylor or 12-1 Utah. Yet Alabama will always get the benefit of the doubt, because of the "eye test".

You can scream all day long about how good the SEC is, how good Alabama is, blah, blah, blah... At the end of the day you only have your opinion based on nothing but Alabama running up the scores on sh*tty teams. College football deserves better than this, teams like Baylor, Utah, and Penn State deserve better than ridiculous posters constantly justifying brand names with BS eye test logic.

...and as you know Southern, I'm an Alabama fan saying this!

Until  we get a 8 team playoff it would satisfy me to take 4 conference champs that mean only 1 champ gets left out but that’s better than 2

Or just take the top 4 ranked teams and it is what it is.

Go to a playoff like Div2 & Div3... If the so called little guys can do it so should the big boys.

The system of how a NC was crowned was always a joke.

Why would you want OSU to lose if playing for the NC? That make absolutely no sense and especially for a B1G team to lose to an SEC team! That is asinine!!! Oh, well unless your a Alabama Baby, fan!!!

As much as I can't stand Meatchicken's coach I would still root for them or any B1G team in the post season. They win the NC, that just makes our effort and result look all the much better from when we played them. Or if you get your way, the perception is OSU isn't any good, overated, the B1G sucks, is not a strong conference etc etc....

I think Ohio st can win it all navylion I believe they are that good. I feel the same way about Georgia and Ohio st as you do about ND lol. Personally I don’t like ND either but I can’t stand Georgia and Ohio st. Ohio st is much better than I thought they would be. I don’t like the big 10 and I never pull for ‘em to win unless it helps penn st then I put my pride to the side but it has to help penn st for me to pull for the big 10 teams. I see the big 10 teams as enemies lol. From what I seen every big 10 team except NW stabbed penn st in the back with the bogus scandal and I ain’t forget Meyer running up the score on a sanction penn st team. Fudge Ohio st brother.

I've always said I wanted 8 teams, any more is too much. A few people who played Division I football told me the difference between division 2 and 3 is so large in regards to physical impact on the body, that you just can't compare the toll extra games would take on players anyway.

FCS is probably comparable at least, and they currently have 12 games with 4 more in the playoffs for the top teams. That's pretty much the same as what an 8 team playoff would be, because every conference plays the championship game while the FCS doesn't.

This way you get the Power Five conference champions, an auto Group of Five champion, and 2 "Wild Cards". If down the road the Group of Five's make a bigger stink about it, then acknowledge it and modify. But if they continually get blasted in the first round then there would be no need.

Not one conference in existence would have taken on the NCAA if we were in their conference. It just wouldn't have happened, so if you hate the Big Ten for it what other conference would have been different? Answer: None.

I don’t see Jim Delany out there piling on Michigan st and Ohio st and if it’s true that was some pretty sick crap that went on at both schools. BTW it looks like it is true because one guy is dead thank goodness and the other is in prison and from what I’ve seen neither school has denied anything?

Do you see the NCAA out there piling on Michigan State or Ohio State? Nope, so why would the Big Ten?

Completely different scenarios, with OSU & MSU the NCAA isn't doing anything like they did to us. LMAO, you think the Big Ten is just going to raise a stink about things the NCAA doesn't care about?

What exactly can they do about it Southern? What happened at Penn State, and the fact that they had to walk back the sanctions pretty much showed them there's nothing they can do. It's not within the NCAA's power to punish the schools for issues like this, they learned that with us.

i would hope the law would take care of these things, not an athletic governing body.

Above my pay grade but a big fat fine and donate the money to a charity that helps with sexual abuse would be a great start.

Michigan State was fined a record amount by the Education Department for what happened there. What's sad is the "record" fine was 4.5 million.

Penn st paid 60 million, Right? Roam you know

e I’m always about making these celebrities pay big fines instead of jail time like on the cheating scandal at USC. Hit ‘em hard with fines. I’m not saying this just because penn st got fined. Mike Vick shouldn’t have we t to prison I thought a donation of 10 million to the humane society would’ve been better that way everybody would’ve won. Mike stays out of jail and the humane society gets 10 million dollars. Just wa t you to know I’m not being a smart butt I really think big huge donations or fines would be better in certain situations. I want hard nose criminals in jail.

Again, it doesn't matter what happened to Penn State because IT SHOWED THE NCAA THAT THEY COULD NOT DO IT AGAIN

...and what a completely and utterly ridiculous statement that Mike Vick shouldn't have gone to prison. WTF? Do you just think rich people should get off because they have money? FFS Southern, paying a fine is no punishment at all to someone rich. Torture and kill dogs... and all you think he should get is a fine? GTFOH

Might as well let billionaires skate on sexual harassment and rape if they donate money to women's centers. Give me a break.

15 days in jail is what the woman got for the cheating scandal lol. They don’t get time they have big time lawyers to get ‘em out so I’d rather them pay big fines. Mike Vick was the first guy ever prosecuted for dog fighting. I don’t like people being made an example of like Mike Vick. What he did was horrible and I was sick about it but I don’t think he should’ve got jail time. 10 million dollar fine. As for billionaires you hit them harder if they are worth 10 billion hit them with a 5 billion dollar fine. I don’t mean a slap on the wrist like you think I mean hit ‘em hard where they feel it. Putting Martha Stewart in jail was a joke they should’ve give her a fine big enough to make her cry. When these people are in jail roam they got their feet propped up eating steak.

Don't take this the wrong way but WTF are you talking about? First off, lets not compare a mother paying $15,000 to cheat on a test to the mutilation and murdering dogs... okay? To even suggest those are anywhere similar is ridiculous.

Second, Vick is hardly the first person prosecuted for dog fighting. Where the heck are you even getting that from? It's been a felony for years and people have gone to jail for it for a lot longer than Vick's 23 month sentence. Heck, a guy got 30 months in jail back in 2001 for transmitting pictures of dog fighting across state lines.

To say Vick was made an example of is ridiculous, considering people in the dog fighting realm have received longer sentences for much less than what he did in the first place. Come on Southern.

As for a 5 billion dollar fine, yeah they still have five billion left over so I doubt they'd care much. As for their feet propped up in prison, that's simple... stop sending them to country clubs and make it hard time.

Roam, you were the one pissed about mother’s involved in the cheating scandal not me I could care less so I’m not trying to compare anything. Of course dog fighting is worse and I never said it wasn’t. Mike Vick’s property was being used to fight these dogs if I remember right. I don’t think he was  there every time a dog fight went on but he was still responsible because it was his property and some of his money was helping with the evil cause. It was a bad deal and IMO it was evil but what went on at Michigan State and what Sandusky and the doctor at Ohio st was doing was much worse. I just don’t think he should’ve went to prison over it.
