What a call ! Indiana most likely just won the game and they’ve shut out OSU in the 2nd half.
And Southern still can’t figure out what we see in Cignetti
Things could change because it looks like OSU will get the ball back but not looking good for them right now.
Dude has done an amazing job no doubt homer. I agree with the QB as well
...but Indiana isn't a blue blood?
Sickening when you remember how close we played them and Oregon. IU with a backup QB and Coach. What a year. Lose to OSU, IU and one other and we get in JF.
Me too. He comes across as genuine and a good X's & O's coach. Franklin always seems a little... well... phony.@underlion I’d rather have Matt Cambell lol
JF had run its course. He’s also better off at VT
He will do okay at VA Tech if he gets the right DC and OC b/c he can't call a game and if he still can't get out of the way of himself, they will be a 7 win team otherwise 9-10 win team if the establish a big enough NIL pool. Thing is lower tier schools are now paying, e.g. Texas Tech, IN etc so you can be competitive if you have access (money) and can use the players you are buying, so if he hasn't learned anything from his time at PSU, that's where the 7 wins/year will come from based on their schedule.
Someone needs to be Allowed to do what he (JF) can't do or is too busy to do. Can not micromanage like Joe and Bear did. 'Game' is much bigger now. You need somebody to manage contracts, somebody to kiss their behinds and wipe their noses, someone to coach positions, somebody to game plan ... Joe would hate it.
I was just noting that we played 2 of the three B10 teams that are in the playoff close, one with JF and one without. We could easily be in the playoffs and he is right, it is on him BUT it has been on him all along and what change did we see? 6 and 6 is JF's fault. He will do better in the ACC 🙂
Freshman class doesn't matter. NIL does and it gives the new guy flexibility to get what he wants.
@psu61 i think he has an issue with oc and DC that wants to do things any way besides his way. I really think he has a huge ego look how many coordinators he had here.
I'm Off Topic again
I always wondered why so many coaches left but they were all professional about it, we heard no whispers but it seemed like a lot of turnover to me.
Clearly a lot for the old PSU culture but it seemed like a lot for modern times also.
