This is a game of interest to me. I still think Penn State beat a very good Purdue team.  I just wish they didn't lose that Syracuse game.  Had they won, Purdue would probably be a ranked team with their win over Minny last week.

Now, in this little twisted mind of mine, here is where I am going with this.  Maryland gave Michigan all they could handle. If Purdue goes down to College Park and takes care of the Terps in a big way - like a 17 point win or more - then Michigan doesn't have win over any team that is meaningful....and yet they will be #4 and Penn State will be #10 when they clash...assuming there are no upsets this weekend. I am really hoping for a big Purdue win this weekend.  That would give Penn State two wins over two meaningful teams - and yes, Auburn is meaningful

Let's look at Auburn for a second.  A two loss team, both losses to currently ranked teams.  The way the Dawgs have played the past two weeks, Auburn is not a gimme this weekend.  Think an Auburn upset over the Dawgs wouldn't change the landscape in Happy Valley!!!

I want Purdue to take it to Maryland.  If this happens, I think Penn State has a very good chance to bounce Michigan right out of the Big House.  And if Auburn were to pull off the biggest upset of the year.....look out, I am taking Penn State by 21 over Michigan!!!!

We got two weeks to relax, so just thought I would give us something to chew on.

GO STATE!!!!

Just win the games and don’t worry about who beats who. You’re over thinking.

Too many penalties, bad coaching decisions and giving Suckiecuse a pick 6 doomed the Boilermakers. Woulda, coulda, shoulda; didn't.

At least you don't have to listen to how GREAT a team Syr is, every time you turn on the local news.

Thankfully, the ND bandwagon is silent around these parts.

The only way an Auburn win matters is if late in the season we're 11-1, having lost to Ohio State who won the East division and Big Ten Championship. If that happens and there's another SEC team with 1 loss on the outside looking in, it would go a long way towards choosing us over them. Espcially if they either lost to Auburn or didn't look great.

@roaminglion

I know what you're saying, Roam, but an Auburn win certainly won't hurt.  Go Auburn!

Hang in there, their ranking wont last TOO MUCH LONGER. I think they lose at least 4 of their next 7 games.

@mtnittanylion Yes, they've been, IMHO, very lucky so far. It's bound to catch up to them sooner or later. All the ACC champ and playoff talk is killing me. Their bye week too, so I'll suffer another week & a half until NC St comes to town.
