Not true, they rank teams thru 25? Probably more depending on the ranking you want to reference.
Has JF made some costly coaching decisions while at Penn State? Probably. Has he done a nice job in general over the past 10 years? I think he has! The guy has a chance to finish in the top this year and with the talent he has coming back, Penn State will be a SERIOUS contender in 2023. The days of losing to top 10 teams every year is about to come to a HALT!
And you want to REALLY know why I am saying this? Too bad!!! LOL. I think this team woke up after losing to Ohio State. What we have witnessed the last two weekends is a team that is done losing, know they can be a major factor in 2023 and have matured as team. They know they are ONLY a few of this and a few of that from being a POWERHOUSE! I wish somehow Penn State could play Bama in a bowl game!! I think Penn State would get it done!!!

@mtnittanylion I’ll take Alabama, Clemson or USC. Even Oregon. The team was just young when the season started and we walked into a buzz saw at Michigan them kind of games happen. We all were upset after the Ohio St game but when I watched the game again I saw how good this team is we just had a bad 8 minute plus we were playing one of the top 3 teams and after looking at the schedule I thought this team could climb back up in the top 5 and I still believe we can. It’s been a good year would be great had we beat Ohio St or Michigan. We got some more bidness left this year and finish off with a good recruiting class. Guys we got a dam good football team!
Watching Allar play and the kid is going to be good but man he needs to play smarter there no reason to take some of the shots he’s taking. He needs to understand he’s a prostyle QB and he needs to slide or run out of bounds. Kid has a great arm and man Allen is a beast I love watching that dude run the football. Defense is nasty.
Right about Allar, Southern. The raw talent is there, but he has a lot to learn. Like you said, playing smarter, better decision making, adjusting touch on some of his passes, etc. This will come with coaching & experience. As far as the defense, I think they're playing lights out football. I'm really impressed by the depth and quality of our backups. It may not be fair to even call them backups. We may have 14 - 16 quality starters on defense! It's only the rule that limits you to 11 on the field at the same time that relegates the 3 - others to backup duty. If we just tighten up on the passes to the middle of the field, we'll be hard to beat!
I’ve noticed when big 10 teams get 3 or more losses they drop out of the top 25 when Texas can lose 4 game and still be ranked. Big 10 gets absolutely no respect after teams lose more than 2 games.
Illinois, Purdue and Iowa could beat Texas and every other team ranked 15th-25th
Southern, I really think this is due to the way the B1G powers that be continue to hype & glorify OSU & MU. They have no respect for anyone else in the conference, so why should voters, sportscasters or anyone outside the conference have any?

I wonder how Franklin won 2 NY6 bowl games (Fiesta / Cotton) without beating the ranked teams we played in them. Now that's an impressive feat.
I believe Ohio State was ranked #2 in the 2016 whiteout game also.
