Are there any quality OL recruits out there that are waiting till February to sign?  It seems like we had a huge 2020 class of OLineman coming in and a bunch decommitted. Who was the recent 3 star that decommitted a few weeks back? Something about Limegrover maybe? Maybe he will reconsider now.

They have 5 3 star OL signed for 2020...  I think 2021 is the year to start snagging 5 and 4 star OL

I hope we land this one.

Retirement is an opportunity to enjoy a cold one while taking in some football games.  Our outgoing OL coach is not ready for the pasture.

I believe much of the criticism toward Limegrover was unfair.

Limegrover might be in the wrong system but from what I’ve seen over the years watching football rather it’s the NFL or college unless you establish a run game you won’t be consistent on offense that’s why I believe in the RPO most teams live on big plays and it works and it’s worked for us because 3 out of the last 4 years we’ve won 11 games a year with 2 big time bowl games and really should’ve won 5 or 6 mote games we just didn’t make a few plays in crunch time. Bottom line is James Franklin thinks a change is needed so a change was made it’s that simple. Personally I don’t think the OL will be any better or any worse with a new OL coach because regardless who they bring in he was looking for a change or looking for a job. Correct me if I’m wrong didn’t the Clemson QB get the chit knocked out of him the whole game when they played Ohio st lol. Their OL struggles to lol. Also ain’t the Alabama QB out for the season?

I think the OL will improve because you see a different philosophy on how they block.  Coach KC has already talked about evaluation of OL talent/skill and making necessary changes. Pass blocking needs to be addressed it was bad.

Alabama OL and DL were not up to their typical standards and it shows, they were not in top 4.

OSU DL is good, Clemson struggled with it but in all their OL was good all year.

Fair or not the OL did struggle.  IMO is it's not that Limegrover is a bad coach, it's because he just cold not mesh his coaching to the style of offense PSU ran.  I think his guys shined when they went straight run, they were horrible at pass blocking.

Where is Bob's Dimpled Chin at?  I will eat some of that crow.

Will be interesting to see how they fill the position.

Bowen has been a OL coach and is on staff, do you move him and find a new TE coach or leave him as TE coach and bring in a new OL coach.

Also does coach KC have a person in mind.

I've been out enjoying the new year!!  Maddog 2020 lol

Thanks for the crow offering, whether the new OC had anything to do with this or not we will probably never know, but it was a smart play no matter who instigated it.  The only other coaching change I foresee is in the secondary.  I somewhat learned while watching the bowl game that the Corners were coached by Terry Smith and the Safeties were coached by Banks - so that tells me corner's were in one meeting room, and the safeties were in a different meeting room.  Time to get all these DB's under the same umbrella, under the same coach, same message, same strategy - anything to help improve upon what we witnessed this year.  I don't think this will happen with a new hire - just an organizational reshuffle.

As far as Bowen, I sure hope they keep him and hopefully at the TE position - I would like to see someone new enter the OL Coaches job.

Damn right, it should be in the Constitution that when a man retires he's allowed to watch football and drink beer on Saturdays!!!

Yeah Frodo! Nothing at all wrong with it.  I’m sure you worked hard your whole life.  Cold beer goes great with football!  Enjoy.
