One would assume Ciarrocca had some input?

Where is Bob's Dimpled Chin at?  I will eat some of that crow.

Will be interesting to see how they fill the position.

Bowen has been a OL coach and is on staff, do you move him and find a new TE coach or leave him as TE coach and bring in a new OL coach.

Also does coach KC have a person in mind.

I think this demonstrates that the new OC has been given a lot of say in how he's going to run things on offense, I don't think Limegrover is let go if Kirk doesn't want to bring in his own guy.

BoB is surely very happy!!! 😂

Interesting thing I just read was some believe it was a choice between Tyler Bowen and Limegrover. After calling a really good game, and being a young rising coach, it seems that Bowen may have been ready to either get promoted or move on...

If true I would assume that Tyler Bowen would be named the offensive line coach in the next day or so. Also probably the right choice... again if true.

I think Limegrover is a good OL coach I just don't think he was a good fit for this style of offense...  As the offense progressed he struggled to keep the OL up to speed if you will.

Wonder if coach KC has a person in mind? Could PSU steal Callahan from Minnesota? or will Franklin and Coach KC go through Franklin's book?

PSU had a better rushing attack then Minnesota did this year and about 10 more rushing TD's.

The inconsistency from game to game and even series was not good.  I hope that whatever route they go this OL coach can sway some 5* OL to PSU.

it is amazing how good the line looked when they just decided to run the ball down people's throats. Iowa, Memphis, etc. The line looked really good.

Probably right about the RPO style, a lot of the problems of the offensive line looked like assignment issues, missed pickups, things like that not necessarily physical skill.

I have a feeling that they already have someone lined up.

I think he did a good job, just not a great job. If we want the elusive "elite", we're gonna need a great coach.

I'm just stunned how bad they looked pass blocking...

I think if they were running a pro-style offense and just letting the OL road grade Limegover would have been fine.  At some point you need to and will have to throw and the QB can not be hung out to dry on those plays.

Are there any quality OL recruits out there that are waiting till February to sign?  It seems like we had a huge 2020 class of OLineman coming in and a bunch decommitted. Who was the recent 3 star that decommitted a few weeks back? Something about Limegrover maybe? Maybe he will reconsider now.

I appreciate Coach Limegrover's and his time at PSU but I think this is a good move. I agree 2016, let's hope Franklin and Coach KC find a O-line Coach in the binder that can produce a dominant line for the team.

They have 5 3 star OL signed for 2020...  I think 2021 is the year to start snagging 5 and 4 star OL

I do to... I think his style of coaching and the scheme PSU ran was like oil and water between the two.  I give Franklin credit for giving him the time he did.  Limegrove did develop some NFL players and maybe a few more but in the end the inconsistency was killing the team.

In one of the articles I read I believe they stated that we are very high on the list of six or seven 4 & 5 Offensive lineman in 2021.

The reason they mentioned it is because Limegrover had recruited them all, and obviously it remains to be seen how that will affect the recruiting going forward.

All in all I believe we'll get someone very good that Kirk the new OC knows pretty well.

I saw an article where Nate Bruce already commented on the dismissal of Limegrover...

Pretty much said he really like Limegover a lot and is sad to see him go.  He said they developed a good relationship through his recruitment process.  He also stated he understands its a business and he trust in Franklin.

In a previous post I mentioned Coach C either liked what he inherited at MN after Limegrover left or he didn't.... And I agree, Coach L is prolly a good O'line coach, just not for the future PSU system. Gotta say I'm actually excited with Coach C coming in and seeing the need to make a change and that JF could hear it and make it happen. Best to Coach L.

I always like Bill O’Brien’s oline coach Mac McWhorter.  He had a good downhill run game off the line type game.   Lot of experience too.  I wonder what he is up these days

Sorry to see Limegrover go.  I always thought he did a good job improving the OL and his recruiting will be missed.  Wish him well at his next stop and hope whoever takes his place does a "better ?" job.  Maybe, in hind sight, we'll appreciate his efforts more.
