When Brian Harsin wins 9 games at a school that has recently won National Championships, I'll at least consider that he's better than Franklin who won 9 games at VANDERBILT.
Plus, he has Yurcich & Diaz to call the shots (if he lets them).
This game is going to go one of two ways…
Option 1: Franklin continues to try and establish the run against one of the best defensive lines in football and the game remains close and a turnover by somebody is the difference late. Toss up. This plays exactly into auburns strength… keep it close enough to wear down the other team.
Option 2: Franklin uses the pass to set up the runs they allow Clifford to go up tempo and he picks apart the Auburn d like he did Iowa last year. This forces Auburn to throw more than they would like and PSU get 2 Paternovers in the form of interceptions and PSU wins by at least 14 points

So he wins 9 at Vanderbilt but can only win 6 here with losses over the years to garbage programs like MD twice,Ark,Indiana,Kentucky and Illinois. What’s that say about him? He was smart to leave Vandy before he got exposed as the fraud that he is.

PSU won a B1G title because of once a generation talent. That team had a lot of the same flaws that we’ve had the past 5 years but talent took over.
9 wins a year at PSU should be the minimum, not the ceiling

Don't disagree, but I'm talking about Harsin at Auburn. A place where NC's have been won recently, as well as trips to title games. It's a place with similar, if not higher standards and he's done nothing yet.
It’s absolutely unacceptable to lose more than 3 games going forward at Penn St for James Franklin. The dude is killing it in recruiting and starting this year we need to see it on game day. I’m pretty confident James Franklin feels the same way. The good news is in the Purdue game when it was crunch time we drove the ball down Purdue throats and they couldn’t do anything about it and Purdue has a pretty good football team. Diaz is only going to get better every game and it looks like Yurcich has the offense back on track. We did put up 35 on Purdue on the road first game in a hostile environment. I’ll admit I was disappointed in the second half but I took my mind off the big picture and that’s we won and found a way to win when we should’ve lost. Just win baby!
Penn State almost didn't have a season in 2012. And with the players that bolted, they still had a winning season. The same goes in 2013 with wins over a #15 and #18 ranked teams. Take out the Covid season, and Penn State has gone to a bowl game every year. And say what you want, but had they had those OOC games in 2020, they most likely would have gone bowling THAT year as well. As far as I am concerned, that says a lot of about this OVERALL program and spirit of being a Penn State player! Everyone forgets about the limited number of scholarship players Penn State was aloud to have and and don't think for a minute recruits haven't shied away from Penn State and I not so sure some STILL don't look back at the past....mostly because of others telling them junk!
With that said, for as much as we all get on JF and some of his decisions, he has also done a nice job keeping Penn State relevant! Have you noticed how many Penn State players in the NFL this year are being singled out every week? Lot of these guys played under JF and they are excelling at a very high level. I am pretty sure this info is trickling back down to the high school level superstars and I think we are starting to see the interest of playing at Penn State RISE AGAIN!
I recall somebody stating that it would be 10 years until Penn State recovered and well, that is pretty much where we are today. We saw some REAL talent last weekend in Allar and Singleton and lot of Fr and RSFr names being thrown all over the place. I don't want to see Penn State lose 3 games this year, but if they do, it may be a while before this happens again. JF is turning the corner and we have to remember, he is young guy too. Last year, he probably would have lost that Purdue game. This year? He brought home the WIN and I don't recall TOO many people here complaining about his game plan/play calling. My hope is JF has finally weathered the learning curve, got some great talent on the roster and this is the beginning of something special.....and the end to a past some said would take 10 years to get over.
SO SOUTHERN!!!! If Penn State spanks Auburn tomorrow, you have my blessing put them in your WEEKLY TOP 5 !!!!!!

In James Franklin's 3 years at Vanderbilt, he won more SEC games than Vanderbilt has won since he left 9 years ago.

I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, but something tells me you were being sarcastic 40-9! LOL
But here is the funny thing. Had Penn State not given up 7 and only 3, you got your 9. And Penn State had 40 until they made the extra point to go to 41. Do you realize how close you were to the 40-9? That would have sent shock waves through your house!!!
