There are no guarantees in college football. NONE, ZERO, ZILCH, NADA. Have a look at injuries list.

What I see is a huge variation in the reporting.
USC has half the team listed. Strategy must be to list as many as possible to muddy the water. Maybe a hangnail is an undisclosed arm injury
Some teams have none or few.
I see two strategic options:
- Report everything with no detail and 'possible for the next game'. Unless it is public knowledge
- Report nothing unless it is public knowledge. (PSU)
What I always find surprising is how little information gets out from the players, practice, friends, students...

Yes, I understand your point of view about reporting. Some coaches like to keep it confidential as well as players..
What I'm saying is look at some of the team injuries. USC is loaded with injuries. Football is a brutal sport, but a fun sport. Most popular.
@underlion what sources does “Cover” utilize to have this information? Just curious. Thanks
My goodness, no wonder Clemson is struggling, did y’all see the injuries they got? We’ve been pretty fortunate as long as Clifford can make it back. That’s a good website to check out who got injuries.

They were struggling before a lot of those injuries too
Clemson had a nice run over past 5 years but realistically if u look back the program has never been a perennial powerhouse; just like a lot of other programs over the years e.g. lsu, fl, Miami, USC, OR. Not to minimize wgat they gave accomplished but I don’t think injuries alone are the downfall. It’s just their time to settle back in.
@psu61 Clemson has the same problem we have if Clifford doesn’t play, bad QB play. We’re a top 5 team with a good QB and probably a 20th ranked team with what we got now. I only say 20th because we have a good defense. Give Clemson a good QB and they’re back in the top 5 just like us.
@bow32 No idea, but a good question to ask if you wanted to know the credibility. I'd hate to think you have to figure it out based on coaches press conferences so maybe the NCAA expects the coaches to submit it?
I am going against you on this one! The play calling was horrible against Iowa once Clifford left the game. If they would have kept it simple, called quick short plays with Roberson, they would have controlled the clock much better. Screen passes were their all day, left and right. QB Options were there all day, left and right. Why would you have a 5'11" QB throwing over the middle when all you are trying to do is control the clock?
I think Roberson is much better than what we saw against Iowa. Yurcich will have ready him Saturday and I truly believe we will see a much better performance!
GO STATE!!!!
@mtnittanylion I hope you’re right brother and I love being wrong as long as it benefits Penn St but from what I’ve seen from our backup QB has got me worried. I just hope if I’m right our defense steps up and shuts Illinois down there offense is just as bad as Iowa’s.

Well he will be playing Illinois and not Iowa, so he should have a better performance regardless.

I hear ya, but, like most things, they run in patterns, peaks and troughs; and my thought is there are teams who have really good runs and their are a few teams that just seem to always be there. The list that I threw out only as an example are teams that I think are fairly true to their history; goods runs, stay in the pack, fall off and some that have good runs and really just fall off to where what they really are. When I say that I say that with a long view, say 15-20 years. Oh boy, I can the pop corn munching starting, lol.
