Leonard Postero taped the first episode of Leonard's Losers in 1958 according to wikipedia. During the show, Leonard picks the losers instead of the winner. Unfortunately, Leonard died in 2001. Not sure how they are doing it, but it sounds like the Leonard Postero that I remember. I am looking forward to the weekly segments this fall.
Nothing compared or ever will compare to Leonard's loser!! I mean did he do that from his cabin in the woods? I can remember a time I heard a dog barking and his screen door shut on one of the radio shows. The way he described the teams and the comments....it is was the best!!
@mtnittanylion Unfortunately I was wrong, the current voice of Leonard's Losers is not the same as Leonard's. I first stumbled across the show while living in South Alabama but the show was also carried by the Armed Forces Network (AFN).

My dad used to listen to him and when I started following college football, he would have the radio tuned in to him and that is how I got started. It just became a Saturday morning ritual for the two of us. The funny thing is, I call my buddy from Texas EVERY Saturday with my prediction and every so often I will give him a story of the two teams just like Leonard would....but not anywhere close like Leonard could do. Man, I got to get a life!!!! LOL

Trying too! Heading to Alaska next week to salmon fish and tour around and then back home to football! There is a town called Happy Valley by Homer, so I am stopping to get a photo by the town sign with my PSU shirt on. My wife says I am in a world of my own!! LOL
Yeppers, a few weeks to go and and we will see what Penn State is all about. I really think they are going to have a very good team. I just hope they look like a top 10 team against WVU. That should be a fun game and I expect WVU to play well that night. This is a big game for WVU in a different way than it is for Penn State. I just think Penn State is going to have too much power on Offense for WVU to keep the game close. Nice little tune up/adjustment game against Delaware before playing Illinois on the road. Get these three games under their belt and then dial in on Iowa. 3 or 4 games should get them settled in and then we will see what they are really all about.
