I’m just curious as to what other NIT forum contributors think about him. I realize he is a tru sophomore but considering his lofty accolades and expectations, what grade would you give him so far? ( A. B. C. D. F ). How do you feel he’s progressing ? Where do you think his ceiling?
For the record I don’t think I know enough to say.
I think he's coming along well. He is now 2nd on the depth chart playing behind Garrett Taylor, who is a senior and was also highly recruited. No shame in that, especially since Wade was moved to the strong safety position after playing most of his HS career at corner.
The fact that he's ahead of Monroe and Sutherland at safety is a good sign, so it would seem he's made the transition to his new position well. Hard to really say anything else about him at this point, we will obviously know more about him next year... Either in evaluating his starting performances or wondering why he's still a backup.
Makes great tackles. When it comes to big plays, always where he needs to be on the field. He made improvements. B+
