man my cable bill is gone up to $230 monthly but that’s all the channels plus showtime and security system. This is the only promotion they’re running right now with XFINITY. I was paying $200 but with less channels. There’s no promotion with the package I had the last 3 years. Is this just what it cost today? Just wondering before I start shopping around. The service has been great and I like Comcast but man it’s gettin high but without it I don’t have all the sports channels I like to watch. When my cable bill usually goes up I cut something else out but I ain’t got nothing to cut anymore 😂

Yeah I know what you mean. My provider dropped the BTN years back among other channels. It's sickening.
I pay $215/month. I don't get HBO or Showtime, but I do get BTN & all the sports channels. The $215 also includes internet WIFI service and land phone service. Even though we have cell phones, my wife insists on keeping the land phone for 911 access.
@rip I’m getting the highest package they got now because it’s the only thing with a promotion. The package I did have is $250 today and I’m getting the package above it cheaper 😂 doesn’t make any sense. Mine is also with the internet BK. I guess I’ll just stick with Comcast because it’s great service
You're doing pretty good Southern. My service is with a local provider, Service Electric Cablevision. Their service is pretty good too.
SOUTHERN....CUT THE DAM CABLE!! Streaming tv is the way to go for a number of reasons. We were paying $260/mo. for Spectrum cable with hi speed internet and an array of channels to include most of the espn channels, Big 10 and HBO/Showtime. Between my wife's and my favorite channels, we debated on how to cut cable cost without losing our shows. Eventually we discontinued Spectrum's cable service keeping only their hi speed internet at $70/mo and changed to YouTube tv at $79/mo. and $15 for HBO, keeping ALL the channels we had before for a savings of $96/mo. And...since the tv sets aren't tied to a cable, we can put them anywhere in the house as long they are in range of the router's signal. There are services other than Youtube like HULU but personally I like watching actual YouTube which is separate from the tv channels and is part of their overall subsciption fee.
Damn... maybe it's just cheaper out on the west coast but with Xfinity we're only paying $175 for 1 Gig internet service and 200+ channels with HBO & Showtime.

Brother,
My DTV satellite bill was $268 a month with all the pay channels and the middle plan which included BTN. I gave it up and went with DTV Stream middle plan which include BTN channel. Didn’t get the pay channels and my new bill is $99 a month. We have Netflix and Prime video and we realized that we were paying all that extra money and hardly watched the pay channels.
DTV Stream works great for us, PLUS, we can watch it on any TV in the house, garage or backyard without needing a box has long as you have a decent Wi-Fi signal! You can watch it on any smart TV or an older TV with a Fire stick. Not to mention you would be able to watch it sitting in the truck on your phone, tablet or laptop while your waiting!!!
@navylion Nice to see the Blue Kool-Aid pitcher show up again! Now if we can just get a few more of the old crowd back.
I hear YouTubeTV is pretty good... plus they will have NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube starting next year.
I pay $50 a month for T-Mobile home internet and $25 for Philo streaming service for a grand total of $75 a month. I also get free Netflix and Paramount Plus with my T-mobile cell phone service.
During football season I switch to Hulu Live streaming service wich is the best available for college football in my opinion and is $75 a month.

@roaminglion It is, I invented Youtube tv, right after I played for Penn State volleyball team
