I just heard he might be suspended 4 games for recruiting violations. Has anybody else heard anything? I’m not worried about what he got caught doing, I’m more concerned about what he ain’t got caught doing. He knows better.
Yes, violations for recruiting, something about reporting incidents or something. I've heard some of his best players are quitting.
I saw the same thing, Southern. Looks like he's suspended for the first four games of the 2023 college football season as part of a “negotiated resolution” with the NCAA. Talk about a slap on the wrist. The first 4 games are:
East Carolina
UNLV
Bowling Green
Rutgers
Gimme a break, lol.
It was less about the violation (he was buying food for players) and more about when the NCAA asked him about it... he lied.
@roaminglion I heard he was texting players during the dead period which he should know is against the rules. There was a few other things too dealing with recruiting violations. If it’s just buying food that’s being crappy.
I didn't see anything about buying food. The article I read said it was for recruiting violations during the "dead" period.

As I said, it was the lying they were most mad at. If he had just come clean, he wouldn't have been given 4 games.
I seriously doubt that there is a school in the country that isn’t guilty of minor recruiting violations similar to those.

Did you hear that “on the street” ? As long as you’ve lived there you should know by now that Aristes is full of BS’rs.
prog
Maybe I should tell you I don't live there. It's the people like yourself that make thus stuff up and believe it. The same kind of people that believe the 2020 election was stolen when in fact they were the ones who tried stopping the certification.

Yes, some making a huge deal of it. And yes, all coaches are guilty of some recruiting violations. Some get caught, some don't.
As I said, the 4 games was because he lied when asked about it... not the violation itself. He decided to play games and lost. Had he come clean, yeah it probably would have been much less of a penalty.
Hold on there. I just read where Harbaugh might not be suspended after all. I guess we’ll find out soon what’s going on.

Jim Harbaugh is a good man
Harbaugh should not be allowed to coach in the 2023 season. Lying to investigators is a serious offense and he should face the consequences. This could NEVER and will NEVER happen at State since we are quite literally the greatest public university in the world. The B1G media hates us, but thank God for Coach Franklin!
@justpeachy409 the ACC would love to have Penn State! Probably ain’t gonna happen but it would be nice if it did lol
I just read michigan is suspended Harbaugh the first 3 games. Next week baby and it’s time to get down with some Penn State football. It’s time for everybody to get y’all butt back in here and let’s have some fun!

Michigan plays trash, that's why they did it. Get out ahead of whatever it is and act like they did it as punishment. Basically they just gave him a vacay. The NCAA rejected Michigan's proposal of a 4 game suspension for a reason, and even stated in an official statement that this was: "not about a cheeseburger", as many people wanted to say it was.
Mainly, I think the NCAA wants to punish Harbaugh hard for basically ignoring recruitment and practice guidelines during COVID. HHe apparently didn't care about any of it, and when on acting like it was business as usual. The NCAA is obviously pissed about it, especially since Michigan emerged from COVID as a 2 time Big Ten Champ and CFP participant. I'm thinking the definitely want a pound of flesh not just for the infractions, but because they were during a very delicate time in which many teams and coaches were trying to be safe and follow guidelines.
One of the podcasts that I listen to is claiming that the reason the NCAA has not suspended them yet was because the original rumor of four games was not enough. They are also claiming that he could be suspended for an entire season.

@been-there-ii so now they’re reporting that Michigan went to the NCAA and tried to negotiate a four game suspension deal but the NCAA said no that’s not enough. Now thinking is that meatchicken is suspending him three games this year and hoping if they decide to suspend him three games next year they can call it a six game suspension.
