Lake, I wish I knew how to put my picture of me with my mask on because you’d love the mask. Maybe my man navylion can put it up he’s good at working all this technical stuff lol. I showed him the other day. Y’all should see that big smoker grill navylion has it’s a good one you could cook 3 hogs in that thing
Send it to me again Brother and I'll post it. I deleted the txt from my phone.
Bill, my last post about this so we can only agree to disagree. Below a link on why we wear masks from the Cleveland Clinic.
I just posted hard facts and you still don’t see it. In Ohio they aren’t wearing masks and they’re opening way up. DR FAUCI says they are for comfort. Cdc doesn’t even require them. Open eyes. See truth. If someone sneezes your way cover face. If you’re scared, obvious, wear mask. I’m not. Can’t help those who can’t help themselves. I gave you facts from reputable people and organizations you gave me something from webmd It also says hydroxychoroqoquin shouldn’t be taken yet doctors worldwide tout it, American senators were saved by it
the reason, again, the fear is there is because cuomo and Wolfe fucked up as did Washington and Michigan and New Jersey. Funny how the top states for death happen to be run by democrats. They all made the same mistakes. 70% of all us deaths are in 9 states. All dem led. I’ll come back for football. I’ll be at penn state practices ima few days enjoying freedom.
So which is it?? Cant have it both ways. And furthermore what the man said was " the second wave may never happen" For God's sake man its even titled in the link you provided us.
@thepakid NO, THEY'RE EMPTY period. NOBODY is going to the hospital, INCLUDING covid patients. and its because THIS THING IS OVER. and NOW FAUCI agrees with me....Ya'll aint seeing the truth I'm sorry to say. Masks? pacifiers. Second wave? Not coming....Don't believe Dr Fauci now? What will you all do when EVERYONE starts saying what I've been telling you???? And here's another nugget, since I have YET to be wrong, contact tracing? That will soon be deemed unconstitutional and the recommendations for it will also disappear. https://gis.cdc.gov/grasp/COVIDNet/COVID19_5.html
Bill, that graph is a percentage of ED visits by Covid-19 & Flu like illnesses. Not a graph of total ED visits by everyone.
The hospitals are not "empty". The graph shows about 4% of ED visits are for COVID-19 or Flu like illnesses. Which means 96% of visits are for other things... Meaning there a still a lot of people going to hospitals.
ThePAKid is right, the only reason hospitals are laying off people is because they were prevented from performing elective surgeries. My wife was in a meeting at her hospital for this exact reason
@thePAKid. I was showing the irony of “believing the experts” ie fauci and suddenly he is saying what I’m saying. Everyone following him but he’s wrong/right/wrong

Seriously dude, why do you continue to post Coronavirus numbers when I said most people are going to hospitals FOR OTHER REASONS. Great, thanks for posting another useless article to argue something that had nothing to do with my previous post. AGAIN, you just posted an article about COVID hospitalizations, not ALL hospitalizations.
You said "hospitals are empty". NO THEY AREN'T. You have this fascination with Covid like it's the only thing people go to hospitals for. FFS
Maybe it's because we are in Oregon and you guys are in PA. But the hospital here, and most in Oregon, and fairly full and trying to make up for all the past elective surgeries they missed in the past few months. They aren't empty, at all. People are still coming to the ER for all sorts of reasons, and now the ORs are up and running.
The hospital here was losing upwards of 1 million dollars a day because of the lockdown, which is what strained the budget. That is why they would have to lay people off, not because they don't have any patients now. It is the same for just about every major hospital in this state. My wife has agreed to pay part of her paycheck to others at the hospital for that very reason, because the hospital was losing too much money when the electives were on hold.
My point was thePAkid was right when he said the biggest reason hospitals have monetary issues right now are elective surgeries being put on hold. That absolutely decimated budgets, because ERs typically lose money, and that money is basically made up by the elective surgeries provided. Heck, no one going to the ER would save hospitals money.
ROAM. PEOPLE ARE NOT GOING TO HOSPITALS FOR COVID ANYMORE. That was my original argument!!! My God. How dense can you be??? Show me numbers in Oregon. I am confident to bet my car that the number of people being admitted for covid are 75% lower than they were 6 weeks ago. Every respectable source says the same.
The reason is multiple. Lockdowns, fear, less action. But my main point, because you’re to arrogant to see it, was people are not going to hospitals due to covid because THE NUMBERS are plummeting.
Murray, I have appreciated your info and knowledge about football over the years. But now watching how you pick and choose the "facts" that you present about the covid problem, I may have to question everything you say from now on. Quoting and giving a link from The Blaze website is a great example. A quality site if I ever saw one (sarcasm). Please stick to football.
BillMurray: "Hospitals are EMPTY and laying people off"
Me: "Hospitals aren't empty, they are laying people off because they lost tremendous amounts of money due to no elective surgery"
BillMurray: "NO, THEY'RE EMPTY period. NOBODY is going to the hospital, INCLUDING covid patients." (posts graph of covid er visits in response to me saying hospitals aren't empty)
Me: "Thats a COVID visits graph and has nothing to do with total hospitalizations. As I said, hospitals aren't empty and you said they were"
BillMurray: "You're blind" (Posts another COVID hospitalization article)e
Me: How many different ways can I say I am arguing with your statement that: "Hospitals are EMPTY and laying people off" to which you clarified in the next post "NOBODY is going to the hospital, INCLUDING covid patients"
BillMurray: "ROAM. PEOPLE ARE NOT GOING TO HOSPITALS FOR COVID ANYMORE. That was my original argument!!! My God."
...and here's my new response: No, that wasn't your original argument. You're at best trying to ignore what you wrote and at worst a damn liar. You SPECIFICALLY ARGUED THAT NO ONE WAS GOING TO HOSPITALS AT ALL. You stated quite clearly: Hospitals are empty, no one is going to them anymore, and that INCLUDES covid patients (obviously meaning not only covid patients, but everyone else too). Now you are trying to act like I am dense and "arrogant" for actually reading what you wrote.
@roaminglion: I'm glad that Im not the only one that is trying to figure out what this dude is trying to say. Hell, its no wonder he thinks he's always right; He'll post something and then deny that he posted it and then call us dense cause we misinterpreted what he said. I'm thinking the man bought a one-way ticket on the Disorient Express.
@psugrad81 Two months ago he started a petition to have Gov Wolf rescind his decision to end the school year early. So far, 81 people have signed his petition. Two months, 81 people. I guess we're not the only ones that think he's off his rocker.
Gonna throw my two cents in here. To me what it all boils down to is the price of human life and what a person deems is an acceptable death rate in order to watch a football game. In my opinion, if one life can be saved then I say lets hold off a bit until we learn more about this virus. I've seen enough of senseless death in my life and cant see the need to risk anymore just for the sake of pro/college sports. Others dont see it that way and believe in the "full steam ahead method" and let the chips fall where they may. Some epidemiologists think that there may be a second round come fall. If so, is it really a wise idea to pack a stadium in Piscataway NJ, or Athens GA knowing what risk could be involved?? In my opinion it isnt, others disagree and that's ok.
What i do know is that we can look-up and search data all day long and skew it so its fits our narrative but at the end of the day we'll have gained nothing. I guess I fall into the category of "dense" because I have no idea what Murray is trying to explain to us with his ramblings. So, if you're going to take a stand and intend to do so with data that you found, do it and dont flip-flop back and forth. Murray, Roam clearly pointed out to you how confusing your posts are and maybe that's your intention and maybe not but I will say this: please stop insulting our intelligence with your pointless and inane posts and please stop telling us that you've proved your point with facts and data. In the end, I hope you're right and this virus blows itself out and we can ALL get back to our normal lives. But as of right now, many of us arent there yet and I'm asking you to respect that.
good points tsuga. You’re right about the sports and we probably shouldn’t fill the stadiums if it’s not safe but IMO we can’t shut the country down again because if the government collapses we’ll have 200 million people starving to death and people will be begging for what we are dealing with right now and that’s including all the domestic terrorist crap that went on this past weekend. Hey brother I know what the end game is I just hope it ain’t now lol....the writing is on the wall though
There were thousands of people gathered with zero social distancing the past few days. We'll see if there is a measured spike in a couple weeks. What an absolute disgraceful way to find out...of course I don't mean peaceful protests.
Looks like that got beaten to death and no one convinced anyone to change their opinions. Now maybe we can tackle something a little less inflammatory like global warming!
@roaminglion In Pa they announce every day, in the health department briefing, how many hospital beds are empty. The last I heard, last week, PA had like 60% of the hospital beds empty, around 50% of ICU beds empty. That can be looked up on the PA Department of Health website.
