@mtnittanylion I’ve also seen Pribula make the same plays scrambling around making throws down field to help win a few games. Different kind of QB’s. The Minnesota game is the QB play I want to see out of DA, he did good. The kid has had 2 great games and I’m his biggest cheerleader baby. My favorite players are the players that gives us the best chance to win I don’t just like one player over the other just cause.

My favorite play Saturday was DA running the ball diving into the end zone for the TD he laid it all out and wasn’t going to be denied. The kid a a bunch of good plays that’s just what sticks out for me we needed that TD.

I am no James Franklin fan by any means but beating Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota all in the same season with two being on the road is impressive given the nature of Big Ten football. Additionally this is the first 3 consecutive 10 win seasons since 1980-1982. Again JF has plenty to scrutinize but I want to give him his flowers where credit is due. Penn State has been quit the Edge/ TE factory for the NFL in recent years which is a credit to his recruiting. If we could apply that formula to WR this program could be deadly.

I wish PSUJOE had your heart.....❤️ 💙 💜 💖

Maybe THAT last loss to Ohio State woke him up or changed him! That was not one of the best Penn State performances Saturday night, but JF played to win and he made all of those 4th down calls in the final drive.  Up until that last drive, the defense played ok and well enough not to lose but JF took the pressure of them and put it on offense.....and they got it done!

And for the those ( not personal here SOUTHERN ) questioning Allar vs Pribula, that very last play that secured the win is why Allar is the guy.  Warren was not the initial intended receiver....Singleton was the target, if not available, then Allar to run.....neither where there and he came back across to Warren. He read his progression quickly and made the right decision.  I think Pribula would have kept the ball and came up short.

Regardless, JF did a really nice job in that final drive and did a great job keeping this TEAM AND ALLAR settled down even when they were down 10 points.  I will take that 1 point win over a decent Minny team on the road all day long. Sure beats losing to Oklahoma, Auburn, Kansas and Florida Saturday night and getting knocked out of the playoff contention!!!!

GO STATE!!!!!

100% agree. To add, I loved two other things I saw on Saturday:

1. I LOVED seeing Allar pissed off. Call me crazy, but I think seeing that emotion from him helped. He was visibly upset, but not blaming anyone... Just pure frustration and I think the team fed off it.

2. To your point, I also loved seeing how Franklin handled Allar there. He let him blow off the steam, didn't yell back or anything, then calmly went over and talked to him about things. Perfect coaching IMO. It's not a coincidence our offense had 3 successful drives to win the game after Allar got pissed.

@southern-psu-fan that's a good bridge ... the right foot needs to be planted more firmly and closer to the torso but there appears to be good neck strength......

@roaminglion Concur, Franklin handled the situation well, and #15 plays with controlled passion --- the young man is intelligent, has tremendous talent, understands the team aspect of the game, and has developed an indomitable spirit.  Throughout the season, he has become better at resolving the moments of confusion by taking decisive action as evidenced by his touchdown run and the final 4th down.

FWIW, I read an article that mentioned the reason he was PO'd was the Minny defense was barking signals to throw our guys off and the refs didn't call it.

I haven't seen any QB act like this and I watched plenty of games this year. Including teams that played on weekdays.

@psujoe He gets points for being consistent. At least he gave up on pretending to be a PSU fan.

Not sure what a week day game has anything to do w/ a Qb's behavior though.

Well the QB in Colorado was caught on camera pushing the referee, but I guess he didn't see that.
