The Iowa game on October 12th will be a prime time contest slated for a 7:30 pm start per Black Shoe Diaries. Kinnick Stadium under the lights should be a great game. The Hawkeyes play Michigan this weekend.
This is one of three games ESPN is considering for Gameday.
1. Florida vs. LSU: This will be the game if Florida beats Auburn
2. PSU vs. Iowa: This will be the game if Auburn beats Florida and both PSU and Iowa win this weekend
3. Oklahoma vs. Texas: Could be the game if the other two don't work out.

You can bet that ESPN is going to take an SEC game or ACC game any chance they can get...I have stated numerous times why so I don't need to get into the financial reasons they have for this....
Ohio State has hosted ESPN Gameday more than any other team, by a lot. OSU, Michigan, and Penn State are also 3 teams among the most featured for a gameday matchup.
Why is Gameday relevant to promoting SEC teams? It is a different $ reason...more $ in big markets? Maybe even better games?
We know the B10 values the market...Rutgers, Maryland.
About 14 years ago Game Day was scheduled for West Point but all morning long there was dangerous lightning and torrential rain that the crew was moved inside. The event was canceled for the Cadets.
Make no mistake these crooks like Michigan and Ohio st as much as any team except maybe Oklahoma and ND. The SEC teams take a backseat if any of these teams are undefeated even if the SEC team is undefeated.

Iowa at home in a night game is a tough environment...We are gonna find out if this team is for real or not next Saturday night...The OLine better come ready to block and inflict their will...I believe the defense will hold em down I am just worried about the offense turning it over and putting the defense in a bad position...With this defense we should never be out of a game...
