When I see or hear the number 409 the first thing that crosses my mind is the chevy 409 in the Impala's back in the days. Wasn't the best engine and had it's issues back in the days. Some of the castings were notorious for cracking. The 396 is my favorite.  I sure miss the 396 I had. Roller rockers,  roller cam. Weiand intake, Barry Grant carb.
