Really doesn’t seem like a B1G type of back to me.
55-10
@psujoe I believe Montgomery county is 1A and they finished with losing record. Bowden which is a school in my county won the state championship and they have a kid that’s pretty good but it’s hit and Miss with these guys because of the competition they play against. We need another RB so let’s hope this kid can play and help win some game. If he was a 3* player playing against 7A schools I’d feel a lot better but we gotta give the kid a chance.
I don’t want to sound like I’m knocking the kid because I’m not, I’m just saying some kids ain’t good enough to play at Penn St at RB but that doesn’t mean he’s not good enough to play at Ga State. Penn St is elite big boy college football where only a few are good enough, that’s what I’m saying.
Joe Weider weight gain should bulk him up.

Certainly not big boy elite. Gotta get past the big boys first. Think you need to Google Jimmy Franklin's record against ranked opponents. 🤔
He's a bit bigger than Mike Hart & Mike made out ok at Meathicken.
My thought, if he can catch the ball, move him to WR or slot and there's our deep threat.
@forum-titan Penn St is elite big boy college football regardless if we’re winning NC’s or beating Michigan and Ohio St. we’ve lost 2 games to 2 top 4 teams with an average QB playing in the Rose Bowl against another top 10 team so that’s elite imo and if we beat Utah we should end up around 6th or 7th the CFP committee screwed us dropping us and they done it on purpose. Them shitheads don’t fool ole southern I know a scam when I see it.

Lol. Ok. The committee is out to get penn state. Sometimes you talk out of both ends.
Utah lost to Florida and lost 3 games there was no reason to drop us behind Utah. It’s up to James Franklin to go out and beat the crap out of ‘em and rub it in the CFP committee faces. Sometimes it’s justified to run the score up and this year james better run it up if he can. The goat joe Paterno and the great Bobby Bowdon did when it was justified and the great Barry Switzer and Steve Spurrier did it just to do it 😂

What do you mean? Rub it in commitees face? Penn state didn't even win B1G, so how can they be getting screwed by committee.
Do I need a mega phone to make this clear for you. You are not making any sense.
Another FYI. Strength of schedule is a factor. You need to win all the games to be considered for playoffs.
IF James can beat the crap out of them. Go for it. Beat the crap out of Utah

As I mentioned in the past. I can't wait for the playoff expansion to take place. I'm sick and tired of hearing from the whining fans.
Let's see if they can walk the talk.
Talk about not making any sense! TCU= 12-1 & OSU= 11-1. Both haven't won all their games and they're in the playoffs. Keep swingin' Susie!!

If my memory serves me correctly there isn't a team with 2 losses that ever made the playoffs? Perhaps write a letter and voice your concerns. Winning games against ranked opponents helps.

I was thinking that, with that speed and frame he seems like a great fit in the slot.

We're not elite. You can't claim to be elite without beating anyone in the top 25.
@roaminglion I didn’t say this team was elite, I said Penn St is elite but that doesn’t mean there elite this year. Texas and LSU are elite football programs they’re just average this year but all 3 teams have what it takes to win NC’s if they have the right coach. PSU is big boy football is all I’m trying to say

Texas is not an elite football program. They are a program that has all the tools to be elite, but aren't. They've only won more than 8 games once in the past 10 years. If you are gonna say a program is elite, they have to at least won a conference title in 10 years.
Winning a conference title once every 10 years ain't elite.
Relevant Elite = playing for conference title year in and year out over the course of 5-10 years and pulling it off any given year. Or better yet, finishing top 5-10, you pick, consistently year in and year out.
Elite = you did the above but its been 20 + years since you did it.
Bottom line is, there aren't too many truly elite teams, there are however quite a few very good teams.
Just my thoughts after a couple of Glenfiddich #12s, dinner of venison medallions, sauteed asparagus, mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, and topped off with apple pie and whipped cream.
For some reason I can’t post articles here but I just looked at the best college football teams and head coaching jobs and Texas was from 3rd to 7th that’s an elite program they’ve just had bad coaches. I agree that Texas ain’t playing elite football and that’s on the coaching staff but the job and school is elite according to all the articles I read.

An elite job doesn't mean an elite program. It's a "great job" because people who write article see the facilities, money, and prestige. That doesnt mean it traslates to the field.
...and no, they havent had bad coaches. Their boosters suck and have ridiculous standards. They run everyone out before giving them a chance, and are probably the most arrogant program in yhe NCAA.
@roaminglion I really thought Sarks was going to get it done but it’s looking like he’s a good OC but he’s Dave Wannstedt as a head coach. I don’t care why he just ain’t getting it done. Just his second year so I’m not saying fire him I just believe he needs to do better next year. I ain’t see it. You said they have all the tools to be elite and that’s my point about LSU, Florida and Penn st.
