@the-funeral-director depends on what team it is on how many losses you can have. I’ve always said that, some teams get a pass for losing and some don’t!
That my friend is why I say this thing is a farce...So the games really don't matter at all...
@the-funeral-director We’re on the same side on this, I agree with you. TCU, Georgia, Alabama and Ohio State are 4 teams I can think of that got rewarded for losing. SMH
Just because people evaluate teams differently than you do, doesnt mean they dont matter.
TCU made it because they only lost once, other teams lost more than that.
Why do all of you folks get so worked up over something that hasn't happened. Just watch PSU and enjoy watching PSU. Ignore what these sports people say.
@roaminglion K-State beat TCU in the big 12 championship game the last game of the season when everything was on the line and the scam told K-State, we don’t care if you beat TCU we still believe they’re better than you so we’re going to take TCU in the playoffs. You can’t make this stupid shit up. K-State should’ve went to the playoffs over TCU and I wouldn’t have had a problem with it, why play the games if they don’t mean anything Roam? The games have to matter or don’t play the dang things. You for some reason like the options of the scam when I like the results on the field. K-State beat TCU in the championship game it wasn’t like it was the first game of the year. smh lol
Well they only lost once, and KState lost three times. You guys argue that all games matter, then come up with exceptions like "they lost last game" like now all the other games played dont matter anymore.@roaminglion K-State beat TCU in the big 12 championship game the last game of the season when everything was on the line and the scam told K-State, we don’t care if you beat TCU we still believe they’re better than you so we’re going to take TCU in the playoffs. You also forget Kansas State lost to TCU earlier in the year too. What, that game doesn't count? If KSU wanted to make the playoff, then they shouldn't have lost 3 games.
@roaminglion if they had 3 losses maybe but I thought K-Stste had 2 losses
Just my opinion but I want a playoff system where the teams that get in had to get it done on the field not because of somebody’s opinions and that’s not to much to ask. I don’t care if a 7-5 teams gets in as long as they did it by beating teams on the field
How can you lump TCU in with the rest of em? They only lost 1 game...These other teams have 2 and 3 losses...And YES I will argue til the cows come home that the games should matter but sadly they don't...
@the-funeral-director Should the K-State/TCU game matter? Last game of the season big 12 championship game?
YES it should matter...Conference championships should always matter...Please don't give me the same ole baloney about the big dawg crap...The SEC is a mid level conference this year...No offense but Georgia going 8 overtimes in their building against Georgia Tech in a game the refs bailed them out off twice to me is a disgrace...If Indiana does this they would be howling to drop em out of the playoffs with 1 loss...These teams with the exception of Texas all have at least 2 losses and considering their out of conference schedules it really is a farce...Arizona State and BYU will probably play for the Big 12 title...they both have 2 losses...Why would one of those 2 teams be any less worthy of a playoff bye than any other 2 loss team? Why would a 2 loss Big 12 champ be any less worthy than a 3 loss SEC champ? I would not be shocked if A&M beats Texas today and then beats Georgia to be the SEC champ...You have a 2 loss team and a 3 loss team playing for that conference championship so how is that any less important than 2 teams with 2 losses playing for the BIG 12 championship?
Saying that discounts every other game but the last one. If a 7-5 team "gets into the playoff by beating the teams on the field", what you are saying is you don't care if a 10-0 team proved it every week, the only week that mattered was the last one.Just my opinion but I want a playoff system where the teams that get in had to get it done on the field not because of somebody’s opinions and that’s not to much to ask. I don’t care if a 7-5 teams gets in as long as they did it by beating teams on the field
@roaminglion just saying if the big 10 champs have 5 losses but still wins the conference championship then they should get in the playoffs. It could happen but only once in a blue moon. Didn’t Florida St win the ACC with 5 losses one year?
I believe he means only if that team plays in the SEC...Cause that is where the big dawgs play...The other conferences can't afford to lose 2 games and they are out...Hell depending on the name on the front of your jersey 1 loss to the #2 team in the country in their building drops you out of hosting a home game...The whole thing is laughable to me...It really is...These clowns tie themselves into pretzels to manipulate the system not only to get their sacred cows in but to ensure they don't have to travel to play...It really is a farce...The mere fact that this is even up for a debate tells you how screwed up and biased it is...The hypocrisy is nauseating...
@the-funeral-director did you miss where I said Alabama and Georgia got in when they didn’t deserve too? Them 2 and Ohio St both get passes for losing. I was for K-State getting in over TCU because they beat ‘em in the big 12 championship game.
You named 3 of the sacred cows there Southern...
I believe they did Southern, the year we played them in the Orange Bowl. 2005 I think@roaminglion just saying if the big 10 champs have 5 losses but still wins the conference championship then they should get in the playoffs. It could happen but only once in a blue moon. Didn’t Florida St win the ACC with 5 losses one year?
That scenario could only occur in conferences that have divisions...With the new B1G setup that would almost be a mathematical impossibility...
Very true! That scenario could only occur in conferences that have divisions...With the new B1G setup that would almost be a mathematical impossibility...
Bbbb
Can't remember what thread it was where I said I thought Miami would handle Suckassacuse. But this works, I stand corrected!
@been-there-ii Sucks that them winning puts Clemson in the championship game but it was fun seeing an overrated Miami lose.
