We semi coached around a horrible line when we had defensive linemen playing O-Line in the sanction years.  Guess they had an identity 🙂

Nobody here seems to be looking forward to this game, I am confused why people are betting $ on PSU.  I am not looking forward to this game.

Yes, the saction years where are best regular season win was Rutgers both years. Wouldn't say we coached around it, but rather sacrified Hackenburg to get relentlessly pummeled and survived it.

Let me boil it down

  • No rush on defense has hurt.  Oddly we did not force NW to throw by stacking the box.
  • No run game has put the pressure on Rocco and he isn't handling it.  It seems to be admitting you have no run game when you can't pick a RB.

I think we need to play over our heads and USC needs to play like they did against Rutgers...

@underlion I’m looking forward to the game and believe we get the win. Lincoln Riley is garbage especially playing on the road. Just win baby

Well you are right more often than me I expect.  Hoping you are right this time Southern.

I hear 'Every Cat has his day'.  One Trojan we hope has at least two holes in it 🙂

Short Nebraska QB is getting it done.  Runs when he should, gets first downs, throws the ball to open receivers, coach gets him out of the pocket...Beating IU

Per announcer NE rush end is 'on his 6th B10 Team in 5 years'.  Can that be?  If so 'College Football' has a problem...

Can we rent him for a game?

10-6 NE over IU, IU isn't that good this year.

Indiana really hasn’t looked great all season. If Nebraska beats them we better get our act in gear and start getting some wins or we’re going to be buried in the B1G for years.

The NE qb is playing good today, Rocco definitely is not in his league. And Rocco is supposed to be the experienced one. So far Rocco is only efficient against teams with very little talent. Maybe he’ll play tonight like we all thought he would , surely he can hear everyone doubting him. Hopefully he does a 180 tonight and plays with confidence. But it’s going to take everyone stepping up and playing like they give a damn!

To what Joe said above about being buried in the BIG, I saw on another board where it was mentioned that UCLA, Nebraska even Northwestern are better then PS. Let that sink in. Not good and I don’t see it getting better anytime soon. Wish we could make a run for a Natty, but we are Light Years behind. JF came close 1 time in 12 years, that’s a long time to wait for another chance at one. And I’m afraid if we’re not 11-1, 10-2 by year 3 of the MC era he will be gone and then we get to start all over again. PK needs to go IMO so if we do have to find another coach he won’t be here to notch the process.

Not really, idt:

ISU record:

25  8-4

24  11-3

23  7-6

22  4-8

Rocco has ~1200 attemps during is career and ~8yd/per completion.

imo, the issue is we got a suck ass team this year due to talent, physical strength, team cohesion, no O or D line to say much about, a coach realizing that playing BIG10 ball every week is diff than B12 ball, a coach who was hired late and had to make do with what he could muster together, an AD who frankly has his HUHA, and whatever else I left out.

It will get better if the Admin wants it to get better, but it will be expensive.

One of the things that happened at Bama when Saban was there and aside from the championships, a lot of that football money paid for oncampus building and growth.

I'd be messaging that potential growth someway shape, form or other, and tie that into research growth, global growth etc; somebody has to step up and change the optics, would be a selfish and whole win win all the way around.

@psu61 Amari Cambell wanted more money and they said no and let him walk. We have six 4* and 16 3* players in this years recruiting class that doesn’t sound like Penn St wants to pay a lot of money.

Gotta change the mindset and get on the revenue train vs it always being an expense and a bad optic (we are a championship football university)

Keeping Amari wasn't gonna change anything about this season, imo.

Personally, I think MC and his staff get 3 years; if they are f'ing off next year and year 3, he needs to be gone and a contingency plan needs to have been already figured out and put in motion before making the move, not the day or month after, lol!

PSU players have been talking a lot this week and we’ve reached a put up or shutup moment.  A win tonight would be huge for MC and PSU moving forward !!

Time for us to do the walk to the Beav !

Watching OR and UCLA, Lanning pulled Riola and put in the thrid string QB; give coach credit, he's trying to win the game vs riding his star to see what happens when it's already happened.

I don’t think we made a bad hire in MC but he definitely has some things to fix in the offseason. I watched a better offense last night and seen players making plays but the defense couldn’t get a stop and was just terrible. If we can see improvement from the defense the rest of the year I believe we should keep Danton Lynn but if we keep seeing the same thing we have the last 3 weeks we need another DC next year. Let’s give the OC some love because I seen a better offense last night with guys making plays. Man my expectations were to high for sure we gotta long way to go. Looks like MC is going to build a team and ain’t going to spend the necessary money to buy one and that will take a few years.

Kentucky and UCLA probably kept their team together something MC should’ve done. It’ll get better but it will be a few years. Another LB’r like Amari Cambell running around would’ve helped the defense but Lynn and MC didn’t want to pay and that was a bad decision.
