The drink dude at Missouri ain’t a splash and neither is Manny and we ain’t getting Elco and the few other head coaches that some folk want. FD, we ain’t getting Cig either but I do believe Pat Fitzgerald is a big time splash because the dude has always been loved by Penn St fans and I’m on record here saying NW was the only team I pull for in the big 10. He’s good on defense and he loves the trenches and he did a great job at NW. I believe this is our man and he’ll keep guys like Terry Smith and Knowles is probably gone as well. I think Knowles will be at PSU at least one more season. AK on the other hand should have been fired by now! Not sure what’s up with that, I was told he’d be fired by the bye week.

I still think this is going to come down to Cignetti, Brohm and Brady with Hartline and Elko as outliers...I believe all 5 of them are in play and it is going to come down to what the money guys want and are willing to bankroll...This new college football climate requires a ton of money and without their money this program ain't going anywhere...This new hire is going to have the blessing of the big money guys and a commitment from the money guys to be all in to bring this program back to the greatness it is destined to be...

I'm thinking Ak and Hagans should dust off their resumes and really should have been gone before this season started. The rest of the staff, let's wait and see what a new HC can do with them. But then, that's up to the new coach.

@been-there-ii 😂 I honestly believe if AK had the right QB his offense would be good. Grunk done a pretty good job Saturday showing some improvement and Pribula was good when he got to play. Our QB’s are good QB’s if they’re in the right offense. I was really please with Grunk Saturday but he did make some mistakes.

@been-there-ii some OC’s might struggle getting out of their comfort zone. Last year #44 and #9 made a lot of plays under center. Both are gone and look at the offense when the athletic guys are gone. This is jmo 😂

If Jim Knowles is retained then I’m wrong but if he’s let go then whoever we hire as HC thinks he can do better but time will also tell if I’m wrong if he’s kept on as DC. All I’m asking for is to beat teams like NW, Iowa and UCLA I’m very understanding losing to Ohio State in his first year, I get that. My brother, the only thing I know for sure is the defense was very good until Jim Knowles got hired, that’s one thing I know for sure 😂
If Poindexter would’ve been promoted to DC i believe James Franklin still has a job and I also believe if Terry Smith would’ve promoted Poindexter as DC when he was promoted as interim HC he might would’ve been our next HC because I believe we beat Iowa, Indiana and imo we would win the next 3 games but he chose not too and it’s cost him a HC job. I saw the same thing at GT a few years ago when Brent Key was interim HC the dude moved folks around day one and they started winning and Penn St has much better players than GT it ain’t even close except the QB position.
lol Yep, time will tell. I'm not all the way sold on Knowles, but don't think he's had a reasonable chance either. FIW, Iowa gave Oregon a run for it's money. Not sure how good Iowa really is this year.
@been-there-ii I’ll be his biggest cheerleader if I see improvement these next 3 games I’m all bout changing my mind if I see some progress. I told ya my brother, winning solves 99.9999% of a coached problems. I’m not one of those that pulls against a team to get a coach out of there I’d rather the coach we have fix the problems and as long as Jim Knowles is DC I’ll be his biggest cheerleader for him to do good. It is his first year I just ain’t seen anything yet that’s good hopefully that changed this week because we can still get to 7-6 and that’s the new goal.
The defense didn't cost Franklin his job. The fact that he can't win big games did. Multiple OCs, multiple DCs, multiple QBs, and all the same results against top teams.
