The Big Ten refs apparently would have us all believe that the Buckeyes are so good... they never hold. Like, ever.
They have not had a holding called against them in OVER TWO YEARS in Big Ten play. That's right... TWO YEARS. What a crock of chit.
Wow!
And nobody in the ivory tower acknowledges that, double wow!
If true, Triple WOW, except that the whole B10 has only been called for holding by the OL during a pass play 4x in the last 2 years (I made that up, sarcasm). Why did we steal the DC, we should have stolen the OL coach!
We have been called for holding more on run plays than OSU has been called period.
But DB's can hold as we well know. So it is not about 'letting them play' it is about protecting QB's. What else can it be? Could be about fixing games but I hate to go there. It is just star power, Jordan never got into foul trouble. There are always different rules for the big boys and the conference darlings. Heck, I thought we were lucky we weren't called for roughing the IU QB in the first series. I am sure IU jumped on more than one occasion but they must now have a 1 Mississippi rule for top 5 teams.
In that same period, how many games with Non B10 refs and how many times did they get called? That would be pretty damming if more than 4?
You know, they can not call holding on just about any play, lol
Oh, this is interesting. I'll have to dig deeper. OSU 40-357 yds. In penalties but somehow the Refs turn their heads everytime OSU holds.. makes perfect sense.

Perhaps one of the many reasons 🤔 thee OSU are elite, #1..
Now that is an eye opener...That statistic is STUNNING...By the way it is also an impossibility that no OSU lineman has committed a holding penalty in 2 years in B1G play...Somebody in 2 years of B1G play held somebody...That is statistically enough data to say that it is done purposefully...Like I said a flag here on a key play and turning the other way on a penalty on another key play and that is how you fix football games...A blade of grass so to speak and on and on...It's like how they control (fix) basketball games...You just get the key players of the team you want to lose in foul trouble...You get one team shooting 30 foul shots and the other team shooting 8...Very easy to do and I see it all the time...It's tough to watch sports anymore because of all the gambling money involved you can easily see who they got the fix in for...
There have been many, many instances of blatant holding that people have shown in clips. They just were not called.
@roaminglion exactly right! The refs see everything they either call it or they don’t call it. They see DDS getting held 10 times a game they just don’t call it.
Speaking of OSU Chaz Coleman has reportedly opted out of the season and will portal to the Buckeyes. We’re also about to lose our number one recruit in the 2026 class to the Buckeyes.
@rip I’ve always complained about what Ohio St and Michigan get away with and truth be known all the coaches we want probably won’t do any better than James Franklin playing Ohio St. the only team that has success against Ohio St is Michigan that’s just the facts in the big 10. With money things can change but put any other coach at Penn St the last 12 years and we probably get the same results.
I disagree 100% Southern...Many of those games a better game coach would have won...Most of those games with Ohio State were close and but for a play or 2 PSU wins...We get one of the 5 coaches I mentioned and watch the turn around and you will see what kind of an impact a top coach can have...I will even add DeBoar to that list as well...For some reason Bama wants him out...Other than Texas there isn't a program in the country PSU takes a back seat to when it comes to financial backing and the only reason Texas has the money they have is because they have their own network...
Just saw LSU called for holding. B10 never would have called against OSU or a PSU opponent. It was a roll out and didn't even effect the play IMO and was relative minor also. Don't see why the SEC would want Arkansas to prevail. Neither are playoff contendersmaybe that is the ticket.
