That was one helluva game your boys won last nite. Congratulations. I hope our boys can put together one season like that before I get the dirt blanket.
Thank you Tsuga, very classy of you and others to acknowledge...I was at Notre Dame, when ND upset No. 1 Miami,31-30 in 1988 enroute to its last title.I was also at ND in 2005 for the battle with no. 1 USC, the famous "bush push" game that saved the no 1 ranking for the Trojans, 34-31...
Unfortunately, COVID ended my streak of 46 consecutive yrs of a trip to ND. At the end of every trip, we would pretty much nail down the following year's options, and this yr was unequivocally the Clemson game..
But of course I enjoyed every minute, a little too much I can appreciate , at my age, your "dirt blanket" reference, I celebrated till 2AM, , and the ole body feels it today..

Jesus that is a milestone. I hope you get to attend many more; that makes me feel good knowing someone is that passionate about their team. I raise a glass to you this evening.
CT, were you a student at ND when Gerry Faust coached? My godson was the team manager during his time. As a result he has priority access to football tickets and has taken me to several games. Of course I always wore my PSU gear but I’ve always been treated well as an esteemed guest. And of course I’ve always had a great time in South Bend.
@lakerie...didnt go to ND Lake. Wanted to but family funds didnt permit at time, attended small Catholic college in Phila, LaSalle, whom Tom Gola put on the map, remember him?
During the FAUST ERA, I attended 2 ND-PSU GAMES at ND, THE '82 GAME won by PSU, 24-14; the '84 game won by ND 44-7..Yes its hard to believe Faust beat Joe Pa by that margin but he did..Im sure you'll remember '82 was a PSU title yr..
Ive been in a fair amount of stadiums, NFL season ticket holder, Eagles, and I think can objectively say ND treats visitors as nice as any stadium Ive been in..Quite a difference from Philly, that I can attest
@psu61...thank you, just perusing ND's 2021 schedule today trying to figure next yr's best options, but unfortunately with this pandemic, much too early now Hopefully by next season, we see some sense of normalcy..
Like BT said we bust your chops every chance we get so fair is fair. You were up till 0200?? I usually am too but its just to tap my bladder and head back to bed. My body still aches from the '87 game. Man was that a cold one. I recall you once said you were there too. 46 consecutive years going out to SB?? That's putting you in the Geritol club with Lake, BT and BK.
@tsuga...I was at that '87 game Ive attended a lot of games, that was the coldest Ive ever been at a game....And Im pretty sure ND coach Lou Holtz said that was the coldest he ever was on a sideline..I met some of my buddies from NE PA at the game, and they chided us city guys that we had no clue how to dress for such weather.....BUT I did make it to 2 last nite
