Norvell goes to Florida State and takes his OC with him.  That leaves Kendall Briles looking for a job. This is the guy who took Houston from 65th to 5th in scoring offense.  I would think this has to be a package deal with Randy Clements as the Oline coach.  Not sure these boys want to coach in cold weather, but I would think Penn State could get them a nice hot tub and sauna room in their State College homes!

Send these guys a Christmas card!!!

I would not want anyone associated with Art Briles and what happened at Baylor, no thanks.

Regardless, I think he's either taking the FAU head coaching job or reuniting with Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss.

Why not go after Joe Brady, the passing coordinator at LSU? I mean... their offense is amazing and I'd think he'd want a full blown OC job now.

The kid was a graduate assistant at Penn State in 2015 & 2016, so he's familiar with Franklin and the University. I say approach him and see what the interest is, he certainly turned that LSU offense into a juggernaut!

You bash Rahne with no knowledge at all then want to hire coaches that were in a major rape incident... Seriously stop.

OMG stop the press a guy took a bad team in an even worse conference up in scoring.

Franklin will be looking for an RPO guy, will not overhaul the offense.

If Rahne get the HC job I don't think I could even guess as to who is in that book that he may turn to.  I will say this I trust it and Franklin's knowledge of the game and finding talented coaches.

If I had to throw out names...

Tony Elliot Co-OC Clemson

David Yost OC Texas Tech

Only problem is these names are to high profile...

Another coach James Franklin has helped. Teams from Old Dominion to Alabama want James Franklin assistant coaches because they know James Franklin is a winner and that’s what they want for their football program. Teams don’t go after coaches on losing teams they go after the best.

Joe Brady is an RPO guy, he learned the scheme from Moorhead in 2016 when he was here. It is part of his playbook, though LSU doesn't rely on it as much as we do.

Looks like LSU plans on keeping Brady around  Already talking about a contract extension and maybe another more involved role.

Good... That's what I mean, If Rahne is gone it will be a guy like this so a new OC is not putting in a new offense and maintains a comfort level with players.  I like it.

Yup, but what I found interesting is when Brady was asked about his contract talks with LSU... he said something along the lines of not getting into it because right now he's just trying to coach.

The OC at LSU doesn't seem to be going anywhere, so if Brady wants to be a full-blown coordinator he's going to have to look somewhere else. Of course, he may like the situation at LSU and stay... obviously we don't really know what's in his heart.

If Rahne does leave though, as he was a former graduate assistant he's got to be at the top of the list to get at least a phone call seeing if he's interested.
