1st 5 weeks? How will we ever make it to the playoffs?
.......By not calling a running play on 4th and a zillion (to go) and by not giving up a late TD against an unranked team and by not getting blown out on the road. Basically, you can't lose three games and get in the playoffs. The cupcake games wont come into play if Penn State wins the big games.....look at Bama.
Assuming TommyS is the starter, Penn State needs these first five games to allow him to adapt and get some playing time before that second half of the season starts. If he can settle in and get some snaps under his belt and go 5-0 to start, that will do wonders for him heading into the meat of the schedule.
Mt Nit, when Niccy says "we", I'm guessing he means Rutgers or some other team, since he is not a PSU fan.
They left Ohio st out and they won all their big games so IMO we’d have to go undefeated to get in the playoffs because the scam committee won’t take us with one or two losses if they don’t take Ohio st with one loss. This ain’t hard to see. Only chance we’ve got is to be 12-0 and that’s just a chance because if Oklahoma ND Texas usc or any SEC team is undefeated you can forget it, ain’t happening brother.

BS. They left OSU out because they were pounded by a 6-6 team. Seriously, you really think if Oklahoma had been taken behind the woodshed by TCU or Baylor that they'd still be in? No way. But it was OSU with the bad loss, not Oklahoma.
Ohio State would have been in if they lost to Purdue by 3. They didn't, they lost by 29. We don't need to go undefeated to get in, but we also can't let our loss be to a putrid team -or- we can't get blown out by an average one.

If it comes down to getting in over Ohio st, Nebraska, ND, USC, Texas, Oklahoma you can forget it Roam. This whole thing is a scam and the same people are still pulling the strings. You really believe this scam committee calls the shots and I’m telling you they don’t. Go look at all the undefeated teams we’ve had and look who we were up against to win the NC and you will see these scumbags pulling the strings just pick a team and if it’s one of the teams I mentioned above you can forget it then and you can forget it now, it ain’t happening. They are biased and they show favoritism towards certain teams especially the ones I showed above. It’s fixed Roam you just don’t see it.

I think it's fixed in how the system is set up, not the people picking. I think the committee does the best job they can with a seriously flawed CFP format.
