I think we got the QB we wanted for the price we were willing to pay. That is called 'value', go watch Moneyball again. And the expectation of MC is not the expectation for JF is it? And as someone noted the two QB's in the championship game were not recruits?
As for JF and QB's it is kind of amazing that he can recruit a QB...where QB's go to die? And the backup who he sat did as well as the 4* that topped out early...but maybe he is a great QB recruiter and developer....if only he had receivers or a scheme to get said receivers open. Half the recruits out there will probably change their minds 2 more times before actually signing... and a year later a bunch of them will hit the portal and leave anyway.
