While watching the bowl games this year, I could not help being impressed with the quality of the coaching. Not sure the coaching at PSU is equivalent to what I have observed.

I’ll take James Franklin over any of ‘em things just didn’t go our way this year it happens to all coaches if they coach long enough

You are both right. You don’t succeed at Vandy like James Franklin did without being a good coach. You also don’t take over a program riddled with scholarship sanctions and turn them into B1G champs in 3 years without being a good coach. You don’t win 42 games in 4 years in the B1G without being a good coach. Does Franklin have room for improvement? Absolutely. Does he drive me nuts sometimes? Absolutely. Has he made some questionable game day decisions? Absolutely. But he is a top ten college football coach and a lot of other programs would love to have him.
