Wasn't sure where to put this, but it's football so I'm posting here. Gable Steveson, former Minnesota Heavyweight wrestler and Gold Medalist has signed with the Buffalo Bills as a defensive lineman. What's unique about this is that he's never played football at any level in his entire life.
I assume the Bills expect that someone as talented in a leverage sport like wrestling would be a natural. In many ways, it makes a ton of sense. It will be very interesting to see how he does, and I'd expect more teams to look at wrestlers in the future if he does well.
