Typical talking points except about 3 minutes in one of the guys raises the question as to why the B1G doesn't give the White Out the respect it deserves as a one-of-a-kind unique event and shoehorn it into a primetime late Sept-early Oct timeslot vs. a top-shelf opponent. From a conference-wide marketing and branding standpoint, it makes total sense -- essentially have the conference treat the White Out with the same reverence they treat the "always last week of the season" OSU-Mich game.
Yes, from an aesthetic standing, the Whiteout is just as eye-catching against Illinois as it would be for Oregon/Mich/OSU, but if there are no stakes to the game itself then it's not gonna keep fringe TV viewers with no rooting/gambling interest from changing the channel. Just feels like the league gives the White Out second-class status for reasons that escape me.
Because the White Out is a floating game that the school sets when the schedule comes out. The OSU/Michigan game is the same date every year against big rivals, and easy to plan around.
As long as I get to see every PSU game, I could care less about "respect" for the game. My irritation concerns NBC putting games on Peacock. No big ten games should ever be put on that virtually useless channel.

If it’s on Peacock and I’m not at the game I wont be watching.
@psujoe Last year I went to the local PSU alumni bar to watch the peacock game. Don't know if I will do that again.
I ain’t missing a Penn St football game unless something big is going on I’ll buy the month to watch regardless of what channel it’s on. When I say big I mean a big time family thing that’s it😂
@southern-psu-fan I'll listen to it on my computer before I pay for the 'cock.
I'm cheap too! I'll listen to Jack Ham call the game on my local radio station.
What does people have against peacock? Something happen I don’t know about? That’s funny BT 😂
I think it's the fact that you have to pay on top of already paying for sports channels just to get to see your team play. It's a bit ridiculous. What does people have against peacock? Something happen I don’t know about? That’s funny BT 😂
@southern-psu-fan I don't see the point of signing up for streaming for one game. I looked at what else Peacock carries and the only decent thing on it for me is the old Saint series and I've seen tham all multiple times.
@roaminglion Exactly! Old school, let the advertisers pay for it & we get to suffer through the commercials.
@been-there-ii living in Atlanta before the games were all on tv one way or another I use to have to pay $50 for every game that wasn’t on tv on pay per view so $6 a month for the cock sounds cheap 😂 I just cancel after the season is over with because we had 2 games on there if I remember correctly.
@southern-psu-fan I'd forget to go back on and cancel it out. lol

Used to paying more? LMAO, I'm sorry but I could not resist... The joke makes itself 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Got me another healthy granddaughter last night 😁. 2 granddaughters will be Penn St and 2 grandsons might be Alabama…I did say might I got work to do as of today 😂 it’s a great day baby!
Man your kids have been "busy"! Break out the ol' wallet and start passing NIL $ out to those grandkids!
Congrats to all!
@been-there-ii lol I didn’t have any 3 years ago and now I got 4 and we’re loving every minute of it 😂
