I just heard the Bullpups and Ohio State hooked up for 2 games. Who have we scheduled lately?
Man I just looked at Ohio Ststes OOC schedule and they got some studs coming up for the next 11 years while we get stinking Temple and Va Tech. They play Washington and Texas in the same year so don’t tell me it can’t be done. Ohio st can play Texas and BC but we can’t play Pitt and another power 5 big dawg? I ain’t buying it
The Tide is playing Wisconsin and Florida State in the same year. Looks like Ohio st and Alabama wa t some OOC competition. James Franklin better get off his butt and get something done. Y’all see the Tide is taking it on the chin with respect this year and it’s goi g to happen to us if we don’t get off our butts a d get some stud teams on the schedule.

No offense, but Florida State is a train wreck.
It is right now but it’s still better than temple, WV and VT. Florida State just needs a coach and they’ll be back in the NC hunt.
Also look at all the teams Alabama has coming up in the next 10 years. Alabama’s OOC schedule this year is bad and they will pay the price if they lose a game. FD is wrong because if Alabama loses they will not make the playoffs IMO

All three of those teams would beat FSU right now. LOL
Va Tech was scheduled when they were good. West Va. And a few openings as well. The B1G east is Loaded. West is improving. If they expanded to more playoff teams, OOCs would improve across the board. If 16 teams, Conf Champs auto bids. 6 or 7 at large, teams would play everybody! The NCAA needs to stop with the perfection BS. Clemson plays nobody cuz The ACC stinks! Remember the only undefeated team ever n the Modern NFL was the Dolphins, and that was 1972!

Auburn....2021 and 2022

Pretty smart on OSU’s part for recruiting purposes. They have already successfully recruited in Texas and west coast but it vastly improves their footprint in these areas.
When you schedule teams like WV and VT it’s hit and miss if they are going to be any good. Auburn is a good game but that 2 really good games in the next 8 or 9 years. Go look at Ohio st’s, Texas, USC and Alabama’s OOC schedule for the next 10 years. I don’t see James Franklin losing more that 1 maybe 2 games a year from here on out because he’s just that good but the OOC schedule sux it’s that simple. I don’t mind playing VT as long as we play a team like Texas the same year. If James Franklin don’t get this OOC schedule fixed with some big dawgs we will get left out of the playoffs if we lose a game just like Alabama will this year if they lose.
I don’t mind VT on the schedule as it seems Franklin likes going to Virginia for talent. As for West Virginia, not so much.
And what has USC done the last 8 years? This is cyclical...Whem they scheduled VT they were a very good football team... West Virginia is usually a good football team...FSU sucks... Miami is down...This changes fast and who was bad this year may be very good in 2 years...
I’d say WV and VT are average football teams sometimes below average regardless we both know USC and a few other of the big dawgs hold more weigh in the committees eyes and they are who decides who gets in the playoffs.
It stinks but it’s the system we got so we just my as well deal with it lol
Down year for VT and they still were within a call of beating ND. Auburn the probability is that they will be a 5th to 10th rated team. VT 15-20?
Basically we have to win the B10 East and then beat the west anyway. The scenario where we don't win the East and get left out because we have one loss and a week schedule is very unlikely IMO.

VT is held in higher regards than Pitt or WVU, they aren't considered average. Frank Beamer built them into a program that is well respected in the eyes of the voters. Not elite level, but certainly not average.
If you asked most voters to rank the best 4 programs in the ACC, IMO they'd say Clemson, FSU, Miami, & VT. Not that it's saying a whole lot, but my point it I think they are viewed as a good team to put on the schedule.
That said, I'd like to see us play someone like Texas A&M, BAylor, or UT. Also schedule an FSU, Florida, or Miami. Lastly, schedule a UCLA, USC, Stanford, or Cal... It's a good point that playing teams from California, Texas, and Florida can help in recruiting.
Maybe you missed them AZZ kickings Ga Tech put on Va Tech 😁
2 years and they were transitioning coaches. That's like me saying "Maybe you missed those AZZ kickings NC State put on Florida State" to say FSU isn't a good program either.
3 butt kickings in a row roam lol. I believe the Jackets are gettin a little better in the new offense but they still have a way to go. They’ve improved as much as Michigan they just don’t have the talent Michigan has but I do believe Collins will get ‘em back contending for the ACC championship.

I think VT is on the upswing now, playing much better. Justin Fuente came in and really turned that roster upside down, some players quit and others went into the portal. Seem to be on better footing now, playing well against ND and getting some better wins.
Of course, we'll know more about them after they play Wake this weekend.
As for GT, I hope they give Collins 4 good years to see what he can do. The transition from an option team is going to take time, so it might be a rough go of it for a few. I do like him as a coach though.
