USC? I'm getting this weird level of energy that he may not be coaching the Nittany lions next year . Yes, it's the rumor, but if a college offered you a job on the hot and sunny side of the country, would you be gone ?
More to it than that. Family concerns. Job security is less at USC. Then there's the issue of overly aggressive boosters. He will use the rumors to get higher salaries for assistants and facility improvements.
This is one thing that always annoys me with coaching searches, the people who talk about warm weather and cities as if no one likes the country or cold weather.
Personally, I wouldn't live in LA if you paid me $1,000,000 to do so. That city is a horrible cesspool of nasty, I couldn't imagine raising my kid out there. my wife hates that City equally as much, the only two times we've been there she started coughing the minute we got in the city limits and didn't stop until we left.
No thanks, I'll take the country side and some cooler weather any day
Franklin has done a great job wherever he’s been. Not surprised his name comes up now & then. It amazes me that there is a group of PSU fans that criticize him. Sometimes you don’t know how good things are till those things go away. I hope he stays and I think he will. He is a PA guy so his roots are here. Let’s hope for the best.
I agree that he stays. Much to be said about the weather, but also much to be said about the fires, crime and all of those other attractions. Then there is the alumni fan base that was the downfall of Pete the Perfect.
Picture taken over Beaver Stadium in October. This is proof that the sun shines in State College.
Why did the forum knucklehead haveto start a new thread about a subject already being actively discussed? He even copied and pasted part of that thread to start this one.
Are you really that desperate for attention niccy?
This is really much ado about nothing! Some sports writer on a slow day decided to write some nonsensical article to get the PS trolls excited!
