So i did a quick browse of the bowl game lineup and once again it appears that the SEC has favorable matchups in almost all of their bowls so can someone explain how this happens year after year but yet these big mouth SEC propagandists ESPiN and Finebaum completely ignore it? Not only do these teams consistently get to play on their home fields or close to it but they get a matchup with lesser teams that sometimes have to travel halfway across the country or more to play them.

Anyone that thinks there is no advantage is clueless or brainwashed and as I said years ago when southern teams have to travel north you’re going to see different results in the playoff and I guarantee it is going to happen.

@roaminglion  Roam, I’ve watched him play 7 or 8 times and he didn’t look like the same QB at Michigan State. When I say SEC defenses are better I’m going on what I’ve watched the last 20 years. Thorne has been bad in the games I’ve watched. He got benched one game.

@roaminglion  he did struggle at Auburn roam he transferred because he lost his job and he goes to Oregon and loses to Georgia 49-3 his first game 😁

And Nix lost to Georgia 34-10 the year before at Auburn... what does that prove exactly?

@psujoe  imo the SEC and big 10 are about equal with the big dawgs meaning the top 5 teams but 6-16 the SEC has a huge advantage because they’re more better teams in the SEC. Homer, you have a place in Florida you know Florida and Georgia are loaded with high school talent and most of ‘em go to the SEC teams. The transfer portal and money will change that imo.

@psujoe  I don’t believe the weather will help but I do believe home field advantage helps. There’s a reason NFL teams struggle playing on the road and college ain’t no different imo.

I just saw Ga Tech for the FIU WR I was hoping Penn St would get him. Be nice to get a fast WR to return kicks and punts

NC’s won, first round draft picks and having the most players drafted in the NFL 17 straight years is what the SEC has done it ain’t my opinion. What is my opinion is, bigger, stronger and faster athletes will usually win in college football.

Funny how having the most players drafted for all those years doesn’t translate to a huge advantage in players on NFL rosters. Obviously all it means is there’s more overrated busts from the SEC that arent good enough for the NFL.

Keep shooting yourself in the foot Southern.

@southern-psu-fan the only football talk I hear when I’m in FLA is NFL talk which I couldn’t care less about but I do like to wear a Steelers shirt into a sports bar once in a while just to hear the stupid things people will say. In case you didn’t know, all the greatest franchises in NFL history reside in the south. Cooters in Clearwater Beach is a Steelers bar and it not only is a Steeler fan hangout but attracts a lot of Steeler haters.

IMO the SEC is no different from the Big Ten the last 10-15 years except for 1 team... Alabama. You put Alabama in the Big Ten, all the stats and draft picks look identical to the SEC.

Alabama is #1 in draft picks by a lot, is #1 in NFL roster spots by a lot, is is #1 in titles by a lot. Bama most definitely is an outlier to every other school.

Since 2014 Ohio State has a title, Michigan has a title. Clemson has 2 titles. Georgia has 2, LSU has 1.

The difference is Alabama.

@roaminglion Alabama is part of the SEC but look at the whole bcs playoff era and the SEC won 15 NC’s. We have a new era starting this year because we have teams that kinda have to earn their way in the 24 years before this year teams were selected most of the time. Now I will say the SEC and Ohio State got a lot of favorable selection because of the scam BS we had with that 25 year era but that’s what we had so it is what it is water under the bridge. The transfer portal and MONEY will rule going forward. I hope Penn St has deep pockets but if they don’t we all better get ready to help if you want Penn St to win, I do.

@southern-psu-fan My point is if you are looking at the past 15 years, Alabama is absolutely in a league of their own. No one in any conference comes close to the success they've had. No one.

@roaminglion i agree totally with that but let’s say Alabama wasn’t in the SEC then it would be Georgia, LSU, Florida or Tennessee dominating under the BCS playoff system. Things are changing but under the BCS playoff system the SEC was just deeper with teams but Money will overtake loyalty. It’s a new game with The transfer portal and NIL money…money will usually win. Kids that love Alabama still love Alabama but they’ll take the money at Oregon or Texas any day. It’s the NFL without the salary cap.

You said last 10-15 years which doesn't include Tennessee or Florida

You're right ,Southern.  NIL without a salary cap.  Free agency during the playoffs.  Six, even seven yrs of eligibility.  Why would any kid want to turn pro?

@roaminglion I’ve been saying the last 20 to 25 years but I’ll even go back 30. The era of the 2 and 4 team playoff system started in 1999. This year starts a whole new thing with 24.
