I know this is a bit off the topic. But I was thinking that we should go back to talking about football on this forum. It's less controversial.
Did anyone see the video of Franklin giving his pitch to recruits and their parents? What did you think of it? I think that it shows who he is. People have accused him of being insincere, a "used car salesman". I think he shows who he is 24/7. It may be a little over the top at times, but I think he is sincere. Otherwise, it would have caught up with him by now.
Thanks for the post. Been waiting for some football conversation. Saw the video. Franklin came across as someone who truly cared about his players.
People always accuse coaches of being used car salesman if they recruit well... Happens all the time. I couldn't tell you how many people I've heard call Saban that, just fans being fans.
That said, I am growing tired of the people in our fanbase that still won't give Franklin any credits. No matter what you say they'll always come back at you like "still hasn't won a road game against anyone good", like that somehow disqualifies him from the "good coach" discussion.
