This will be an extremely important first meeting. Fleming has acknowledged that he maintained the closest relationships to assistant coaches, Corley (PSU departed) Hartline (OSU) and Gattis (UM OC). Here's hoping that Parker makes a favorable first impression because he may not be given the opportunity of making a second one!Β

Yes, he was charged with a misdemeanor after blowing a 0.08%

So not drunk at all, probably not really even buzzed but at the threshold so they picked him up. Later on he said he felt he was under the limit and could drive fine. Sucks but that's the law. 0.07% and no one ever hears of it, 0.08% and you're booked.Β

Ok, I read more. He drove the wrong way.Β  But it's ok , I get it. Now that he landed at Penn state,Β  it's perfectly clear and fine.Β

Β  FYI, .08 is the law . There is no such thing as buzzed driving that is perfectly acceptable. Buzzed driving is drunk driving. I won't get behind a wheel even if I had 1 drink. It doesn't suck that it's the law. He was charged with DUI.Β

He was convicted and paid for his mistake.Β  Must not have had any aggravating factors, since he did not receive jail time. He was denied a position at ECU, then Duke hired him, so maybe they believe in 2nd chances.Β

Well, not exactly! His court date on the DUI charge is scheduled for January 17.
