I just read on 2 releases, one being 24/7 Sports that he is odds on favorite to transfer here. I’m not sure how I feel about that. How many years of eligability would he have and does he sit next year? I’ve never seen a timevwith so many players especially qb’s transfering.
Not good accepting transfers. Very disruptive to the family atmosphere that JF has created. We have 4 quality kids competing for the role of starting qb. Wimbush had his shot here. Tell him to go to a MAC school.
Agree 100% with Sky. The QB is usually the face of your program and I would prefer one that wanted to be here from the get-go.
I'm not sure where you are getting that, but transfers happen all the time and are hardly disruptive. My only thought would be why would he come here, he has no shot at starting. Maybe move to another position?
Several Vegas sites listed PSU as the favorite yesterday, Id say majority of ND fans think its a bad fit, not happening..
If it does happen, the one thing to be assured of, Wimbush will not be disruptive ..He's a very classy, intelligent guy who just spent his 4 undergrad days at ND,and now holdS a degree..I believe he has NFL aspirations which will not be served by more time on the bench..and whether he still has NFL QB dreams, or is receptive to a position change, I have no idea, but he's a great athlete..
Unless James FRanklin promises him open competition with an equal chance to start, highly unlikely with Stevens and Clifford waiting in the wings, PSU is a poor fit for Wimbush..There certainly are better fits, such as a school that graduates its starting QB, with no obvious replacement ..
He's a grad transfer with 1 yr of eligibility remaining He doesn't sit, as he qualifies for the transfer portal, i.e., enrollment in a MBA program....much like Jalen Hurts,,
To me, I think Georgia Tech makes perfect sense. The new coach wants to take the GT offense off of the option, but that will take a bit of time so next year will be a transition. Wimbush could come into it perfect for the job, run heavy at first but gradually installing more passing options. Also, I believe his mom lives in ATL.
Seems like a good fit, but of course he'd have to be willing to go into a situation like that.
Bring him to Ga Tech baby 😁

LMAO, I thought you'd like that Southern!

Look at what’s happening at Ohio State. Guy is transferring in and assumed starting qb is looking to move out. Message is coaches only give a darn about winning. That’s not the PSU way. We will see how this plays out.
Sure didnt seem to affect the programs of Dabo Swinney nor Nick Saban, who just met in the national championship game..The former benched the heir apparent, a senior QB in favor of a true freshman, despite being undefeated three games in..and Saban benched a guy who is 26-2 as a starter..While Kelly Bryant transferred, and Jalen Hurts is expected to...the two programs are favored to meet in next year's title game, yet again..

So why does that mean it's disruptive? Fields came in and Martell left, what is inherently bad about that?
LMAO, a couple years ago Alabama had a transfer come in and won the National Title. A few years before that Wisconsin had a transfer come in and won the Rose Bowl. NC State had a transfer come in last year and had two great offensive years with him.
But yeah, because Martell chose to transfer out that spells doom. Okay.
