See Link. Codutti focuses much of his attention on Nelson and Shelton, the left side of the line. Yes, the opponent is who it is, but considering PSU was forced to plug in a 3rd string guard and a true freshman for all but one play this game, Trautwein deserves some credit that this wasn't a total bleepshow. Even if Scruggs and Olu both leave after this season, the o-line situation still seems solid for 2023..."seems" being the key word, obviously.

I’ve never thought the OL was as bad as the wrap they were getting, I thought the RB’s we’re not up to Penn State standards. I know all the RB’s were trying their best but they just wasn’t good enough to start at Penn State. We’ve got that problem solved now and the whole offense looks better but we still have to get better at QB then we’ll win our fair share against Ohio State and Michigan.things are looking great for Penn State football going forward so let’s keep this baby going.

Yes, they were that bad last year. The running backs got hit in the backfield more than any other team in 2021. That's not RB's, that's OL. Having great RB's last year would have helped, but it still would have been a chit show. The new faces on the line this year have seriously helped, mainly in the middle of the line. Serious upgrades there.

@roaminglion Some blame, but for sure not all, was on the RBs. How often did you see them jitterbugging around just behind the line, looking for a better hole, than to try to take the crack that was there?

I agree, it was definitly both the line and RBs.
