So yeah, I think it was a smart move to not pay a freshman backup who played a few games huge money to stay.
Reports are he's been dismissed from Tennessee... 3 million well spent. LOL
I will say it is strange that this is something like the 3rd NIL saga for Tennessee. The QB last year, some other dude, now Chaz? Not sure what exactly they are doing.
Wow, I saw they said he hadn’t reported to the school and was having some sort of personal issue but didn’t see he was dismissed.
I bet he eventually ends up at OSU.
Just to be transparent, I dhould have said it comes from a former Tennessee coach. Some outlets are reporting it, but it's not confirmed yet. My bad if I made it seem like it was 100% confirmed.Wow, I saw they said he hadn’t reported to the school and was having some sort of personal issue but didn’t see he was dismissed.

I should have said it differently, but one this is for sure... Chaz has been a huge headache for them.
Players will be sitting out college football for the NFL before long. Looks like that’s the path Chaz is on now. 😂
@roaminglion Yeah, I fell for it too. On the internet, gotta be true! Now hearing rumors he's back in Knoxville. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
The dude on locked on said there’s a chance we could get Chaz back if he’s let go from Tennessee but we’d have to go through VT to get him. I’m very forgiving if the young man wants to come back I’ll just go ahead and throw that out there 😂 would ya’ll take him back if he wants to come back?
Eh, I'm still holding a grudge. If he wants to come back, let him. Not thinking I'd go chasing after him. Now, if he to does and doesn't ask for more than a scholarship to prove himself, sure.

There's a zero percent chance of Coleman coming back and Sayko AKA "the dude on locked on" has to be one of the worst podcasters out there.
Why would we want him back? He is kinda proving to be a cancer for team morale
@roaminglion Sometimes you gotta take a chance Roam and he is a beast. Maybe a coach like MC can straighten him out. It would be taking a chance no doubt.
You take smart chances, not chances on players who left and then acted like an entitled ahole at their next team.@roaminglion Sometimes you gotta take a chance Roam and he is a beast. Maybe a coach like MC can straighten him out. It would be taking a chance no doubt.
@roaminglion you’re probably right but dang he’d be a beast coming after the QB and we need a good pass rusher lol
@southern-psu-fan Why? Based on his 8 tackles and 1 sack? Why is everyone so crazy about this dude?
@roaminglion he was a freshman showing a lot of promise and he got hurt if I remember correctly. We’ll see
What promise? He played in 9 games and had 8 total tackles.@roaminglion he was a freshman showing a lot of promise and he got hurt if I remember correctly. We’ll see
I mean, I get saying a guy has potential but people are acting like this kid deserves 3 mil based on showing promise by having 8 tackles?
I definitely didn’t think Chaz did anything on the field to deserve the hype or big pay he allegedly got
I revived this thread due to the information we are getting as this new coaching staff has had a little bit of time to sort of put their stamp on the program...The types of players they want, their disciplinary standards and what they expect from the players...It appears the tone has been set...It is clear to me now why they let some of these guys walk out the door and this kid Chaz Coleman is the poster child for what they are doing...I was wrong again...I was pissed off that they didn't offer this kid and keep him...It is quite obvious that internally they (the new staff) saw the red flags and decided he wasn't OKG (our kind of guy)...I am fairly certain they kept who they wanted and let the others move along...I think the program got very lucky hiring this guy Campbell...He wasn't their 1st choice and he sort of fell into their laps...Sometimes it is better to be lucky I guess...The more I hear about this guy and the more that leaks out about what he is doing the better I feel about the program...From a philosophical standpoint I pretty much am in total agreement with what this guy is all about...Only the people on the inside really know about these players and some of these guys we are clamoring to get maybe have million dollar talent but have a 10 cent brain or no work ethic or hunger...It appears in this case, Roam and those that agreed with him were correct...Let the prima dona's walk...Penn State is now going to be known for hard nosed, fundamentally sound and disciplined football...For me this is a welcome change and thank God this new coach seems to be bringing the program back to it's roots and what it has always been known for...Count me in on the optimistic side...
