I find it interesting some of the opinions expressed on this forum in the past few days.  I understand the frustration and the anger felt over Saturday's loss and the OSU loss because its easy for us to sit in our living rooms and point fingers and level accusations.  As someone who has competed at a collegiate level let me assure you that athletes have off days just like everyone else.  Let me also say that after a tough loss, the thought of how our fans would perceive it wasnt at the top of our list.......as selfish as that might sound, its the honest truth.  I competed for my school, my coaches, and most importantly for my team-mates.  I'm proud of my school.  I'm proud of this football team.  I'm grateful that we have a head coach that places academics first and football second.  Im grateful that we have a coach that honors HIS commitment to the team by the example he sets for them. C'mon guys, the man honored the scholarship for a kid that was found to be medically unable to play any longer.....are there any other cases like that in college football?? So you guys that are labeling him a fraud and saying he must go are narrow minded and need to look at the big picture.  Sure we all want to win and we all want to go undefeated every year and its ok to set goals like that.  It's not, however, ok to start with the anger and accusations when those goals are not met. My goal was to be a state champion in wrestling as well as win an NCAA title.  I fell well short of all that to say the least but i dont view my time competing as a failure nor do i blame any of my coaches.  Our football players know what they had within their grasps and what they let slip away.  LET IT BE PEOPLE!!  I'm glad we're not a Florida under Urban or a Miami under Jimmy.  Do you want a Barry Switzer Oklahoma or a team that you can be proud of off and on the field??  Lastly, let me just say that my greatest learning moments were in defeat, not in victory.  So lets put our pitchforks away and douse out our torches and let our team figure things out on their own.

So sad when people live their lives vicariously thru the successes of others and then want to kick them in the butt when things get tough.

At what level are you playing hockey??  And if you take the time to read my post, nowhere do i brag about my accomplishments.  In fact, I said I fell short of my goals.  Reading comprehension really isnt your strong suit is it??

That comment was in response to your request idiot. In  case you still don't understand I'm not playing the who accomplished more BS game with an anonymous person  on an anonymous message board.

An FYI it's not a reading comprehension issue it's that I really don't read much of your posts. Never have, never will.

You're right, I wouldnt brag about playing rec league hockey either.  Besides, i'm guessing you have no accomplishments to talk about anyway.  Congrats on achieving the pinnacle of your sport.  Isn't that one small step above Church league softball???  I'd say YOU'RE the fraud, you shoot your mouth off about CJF not being able to coach and you're nothing more than a ham and egger playing in an old man's rec league.

Just ask the great Nick Saban how hard it is to go undefeated! I know the greatest of all time Joe Paterno did it 5 times and he spoiled some of y’all but trust me it ain’t easy!

I don't think it's a matter of going undefeated but more so how a loss occurs. In the end a win is a win but how a game is lost can linger....One thing to lose on a fluke play or get blown out; another to lose the same way multiple times b/c of poor decisions, repeated scheme that has been exploited etc..

Nah, you dont get under my skin.  I just wrongly assumed that you have some knowledge of the sport.  Going to a few home games each year and playing rec league hockey........lol

I’d rather lose a close game than get blown out because being competitive is important IMO. Bottom line on Saturday the coached put our players in position to win and we dropped the ball its that simple. Theirs kids made a play with under a minute left and ours didn’t and it cost us a win. When it’s nitty gritty time is when you need to step up and make a play. In NASCAR teams can have great pitstops all race long but on the last pit stop if it’s a bad one and it cost you the race what you did in all the other good pitstops don’t mean crap. Step up when it’s crunch time baby.

PSU has reached it's peak under Franklin. Being elite will never be achievable and finishing 2-4th in the division will be the norm.

Follow you around??  Lol.  Remoh, I started a topic on here and YOU responded to to it.  You could have passed it by but you chose to make a snide comment about a man who's shoes your not able or worthy to fill and now you're telling me Im following you around??  LOL.  When your rec league hockey career is over, you may want to go into stand-up.

I know you're into guys following you around but im not into that at all.  Its ok that you swing that way but I dont.  Sorry Remoh, but you and I just dont drink at the same bars.....but there's always Burlington when you get "the itch".

Have you ever considered the RCMP??

Let it go J. It's pretty obvious he's not playing with a full deck and stooping to his level just mucks up the forum. I'm guessing only a few on here will understand the RCMP reference. I had to think on it a minute before I got it.........good one!!

Now, just stop engaging him and move on. BTW......Just saw a nice buck back at the stand you put it. You should try to make the trip up and do some hunting.

The obsession continues.
