I'm thinking that with Temples O-Line injuries they will not be much better than Marshal so Wisky and NW will be better indicators. 5 Wins when USC shows up at the Beav for a night white out.
@psujoe I like the dude Brian Smith the recruiting guy he’s always good and knows his stuff. He said Penn St would blow out Marshal. Zach is ok but he is a little off sometimes. If it’s Penn St football I listen lol
We should’ve/could’ve had 13 more points. Dropped passes, missed FG and not kicking the FG cost us 13 points. This team will be jelling in the next few weeks. The game wasn’t as close as the score imo we got the win and that’s what matters. Best QB I’ve seen in a long time Rocco can throw that dang ball man and he’s very smart with the ball.
@southern-psu-fan Looked like an 18 point win to me!! I didn’t see much of the game again but the parts I did see we were far from impressive.
@psujoe They definitely need to keep getting better homer no doubt but Rocco was on fire today and he had 3 or 4 drops. Defense needs to get better in the middle and also needs to get better stopping the QB from running the ball. The QB running the ball is the only reason temple was able to score. The drive right before the half and the second half the offense found something.
One thing I liked seeing was the OL seemed to finally click in the 2nd half. In the 1st game and the 1st half of this one they didn't look great. That seemed to change.

The main thing I think I’d like about the new coach the most is thefact that he seems to be playing a lot of players.
depth was a concern of mine heading into the season and getting some of these guys experience in the early games is going to help in the long run
Also we need to seriously upgrade our OOC schedule!! Playing teams like we’re playing this season doesn’t do much to prepare us for the B1G. I’ve vowed to no longer attend games like this but wealmost bought tix for this one.just because it’s so easy to get to by train and subway.
Im really no into playing sPitt but if that’s what we need to do to upgrade so be it.

On offense, #87 is NASTY (in a good way) but slightly out of sync with #3. At the goal line on the first drive, #87 could have abandoned the block and slipped into the end zone so that #3 had a target. On defense, #92 and the other tackles have been solid.
@cohappy 21 played his butt off yesterday. He wears the defense down and what I really like is he usually always falls forward for an extra yard or 2. He’s a good RB to have much different than what we’re used to. He’s not the fastest and he’s not going to run off 70 yard TD’s but he kills the defense with 3 to 5 yard runs but I believe as the OL gets better he’ll get more yards. I love People’s too and Wallace.

So I am going to be the board realist again. After watching a couple other games last night and then watching ours this morning I’ve come to the realization that there’s no way in hell we should even be in the top 20.
It’s an absolute joke that we moved up in the polls and I’m really not sure we’re good enough to even beat Wisconsin or Northwestern. I have USC and Meatchicken as definite losses.
Offense is gonna have to beat USC and Mich; our D line just isn't there yet in beef size and intensity going up against teams like that. WI is a toss up, imo.
