Man I figured since Ohio St and Indiana were both undefeated they’d be at the big 10 championship game. Georgia has 1 loss and the Tide has 2? If Georgia gets the win does the Tide get left out?
Southern you are joking right? ESPN owns the SEC....clearly they will prop up the SEC whenever possible.
I'm sure that was sarcasm.
@underlion espn loves Ohio State just as much as the SEC and they always have. Both teams are undefeated and it’s #1 vs #2
But ESPN doesn't have the same business deal with the B10/OSU that they have with SEC/AL.
It's just business....I assure you it isn't because they think IU is going to get blown out. Nor is it that the weather will be better in Atlanta 😉
You have to understand that ESPN is in business with the SEC and ACC conferences so it is in their best interest to promote those 2 conferences and do all they can to diminish the other conferences as they are competitors to their brands...They will do all they can to prop up and give whatever edge they can to those 2 conferences...Hence the changes being made to the playoff system which they are heavily involved in shaping...Always know and expect ESPN to do the SEC conferences bidding because it is in their financial and business interests to do so...
There’s only one explanation for why Southern still can’t see the light and understand the BS ESPiN has been pulling for over a decade.
I'm not thinking Indy will be in the game w/ O$U
@psujoe Homer, espn loves Ohio St and Michigan as much as any other team or conference you can take that too the bank!
Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, and Clemson consistently feature due to the SEC's dominance, big-name matchups, and ESPN/ABC's broadcast rights, especially for big games like the SEC Championship or major rivalries. Any major conference team with a big following or a high-stakes game, particularly from the SEC, Big Ten, or major Independents (Notre Dame), is likely to land on ABC in the last decade.
I’m watching JF II coaching BYU!
did we ever dodge a giant bullet!
That is the correct answer and the company line....And the B10 says that OSU's Offensive Line doesn't hold 😋 🤣
You guys are reading way too much into this...
Simple:
ESPN is in partnership with the SEC, and Fox is in partnership with the Big Ten.
Thus Fox pregame is at the Big Ten Championship, and ESPN is at the SEC Championship.
If you think there is any more to it than that, you're down the conspiracy rabbit hole.
