Anyone here any news on Dotson?  I know I stated earlier that I thought he would head to the NFL, but I am now wondering if he is coming back for another year?  Now that a WR won the Heisman, maybe he has some fire in is belly to make it too?!!

I am really excited for this year.  I think the team fought through some hard times and came out winners at the end. I am still hanging my hat on the fact that this was merely a scrimmage season for the Lion's and they gained some valuable experience for a lot of freshman that look very promising in 2021.  I am down to the QB.  Did Clifford re-invent himself the second half of the season and did he learn from his mistakes? Can he come out in 2021 and have confidence in himself and more importantly, with the players around him.  If he tries to carry the game on his back, we will see a lot the same.  If he puts his trust in his backs and receivers and improves on his passing, Penn State should bee right up there when the dust settles.  I don't think he has THAT much to work on outside of passing.  The kid can play, he just needs to to be more calm and smarter at what he is doing!

GO STATE!!

Good news. It would be nice to have more of these kids come back some years to make a run at Ohio St and the playoffs.

Great news for us, and definitly the right decision for him. With a good year he can really move up the draft boards.

Am I the only one that doesn’t see Oweh as a first round pick? I’ve seen mock drafts that suggest he’ll go first round, but he only started 1 yr at PSU and had ok stats, not great? What am I missing?

@lionbacker99 I have to agree that he surely hasn't impressed like you'd think a sure fire first round pick should. Seems like his time at PSU was a lot more hype than substance but it sounds like the NFL scouts still love him.

@psujoe

He’ll probably put up great numbers at the NFL combine because he is athletically gifted and PSU strength coach Galt always has the PSU players prepared for the combine. So, that will help him also.

Both of our DE’s struggled I don’t see it either and IMO they both needed to come back.

I see Oweh as another Aaron Maybin. I think another year or two would do Oweh good; but I'm just an armchair talent evaluator.

@roaminglion

I think it was a 50/50 coin toss for him. Either way, he doesn't lose. I think what we are seeing here is a kid giving back to a program that has helped shape his future as a professional athlete.  Kind of like Team first, Me second!

I think he could have gone in the 3rd or 4th round and seen some playing time as a rookie. Coming back to Penn State he will now have a chance to develop even more, improve on his stock and be recognized as a player that helped shape the next level of this program.

Dotson coming back is HUGE for this program! Just as huge as Castro Fields too! They need leaders on both sides of he ball and they have it now.  Don't think for a minute this team can't be dangerous in 2021.  That was a lot of Freshmen we got to see in 2020 and ones that got a lot of experience. I like their odds this coming year!

GO STATE!

Ok, that's great! Dotson is coming back.  Nice to see he will be with his teammates another season before declaring. So, what do they got to complete a B1G championship and make the playoffs? Everything is about as clear as MUD with this transfer portal and we know who ranks #1 in the portal.  Ohio state is on the rise as usual and the opening game in 2021 is no walk in the park . Not sure how one player that changed his mind determines everything.  That's just one piece of the puzzle.

I’d say Rocco is going to give Wisconsin an azz full of Lee until he feels comfortable turning Clifford loose. Im kinda optimistic Clifford is going to turn things around this year he’ll know Rocco’s offense much better he was really thrown to the wolves this year with not much practice before we had our first game. We did turn things around and won 4 straight games.

Thrown to the wolves?  Penn state experienced the same as every other team in the country.  OSU was devastated by Corona virus and demolished every team.  Stop with the excuses. The 4 straight wins came from pushovers.

@forum-titan. New OC, both of our best RB’s going down with no practice is what I’m talking about  and the first 5 games were pushovers except for Ohio State!

I quite understand your point.  Tell me the teams that didn't have any injuries, didn't have coaching changes, didn't have practices and didn't have RBs go out ? If I googled it I would most likely need a calculator.

Would be neat to learn if his decision to return came before or after the news of Yurcich coming to town?
