The conspiracy theorists want to blame Jay Pa for everything. As 99 said, it was more likely that Tom Bradley would have been the next coach at the time (if they stayed in-house). I heard Todd Blackledge make the statement that Joe had a tendency towards being loyal to a fault. In other words, he tended to keep people around even after they were no longer useful. Also, if you were Joe, would you want to go home and tell Sue that you just fired their son?

I said he was #1 all time RB in PSU history.  He is. Fact.  No one has run for more yards in a career than him. STATS

This is all opinion anyway, you give more credit to Jay than I do.  In the end, our offense was most often secondary under JoePa to the defense anyway...  Which is weird because we had one of the best offenses of its time in 1994. Love ya Southern.
