And what your opinion is. Other than seeing posts about who commits flips and transfers on this board and some other sports sites I really don't know much about the recruiting process. From my novice perspective it seems to make sense.
What do you experts think?
I think it totally makes sense. It also will never happen. Things have become too corrupt with too much money for anything to change for the benefit of the athlete or fairness. The top schools would never agree.
I think looking at that real quick makes me think that there are a world of unintended consequences of what Jay thinks are "common sense" measures. what Jay said might be well-intended, but looking at it and thinking about it for a second makes me very nervous as to what would happen.
Thanks for the read navylion. I don’t like what I see going on with college football because to me it looks like the ncaa is pandering and IMO pandering never works. They are trying too fix something that wasn’t broke. Of course I’m not one that likes a whole lot of changes because to many changes has really hurt NASCAR and NASCAR is still trying to get the fan base back. I don’t want to see college football lose it’s fan base but I’m sure the ncaa knows more than me though lol. Hope everything is great down your way brother.

Thanks for sharing Navy. I believe there are some good thoughts in Jay's article, but as Roam said there could be unintended consequences if some of these measures were implemented. I just have a real bad feeling about the entire direction college football is heading. Coaches salaries, recruiting, facilities, red shirting (gray, blue, black, etc), transfer rules and portals, early enrollments, TV contracts, eye tests, game rules changes, and all the other attempts at fixing something that was fine to begin with are in my opinion killing the sport. I hope I'm wrong and just being an old fart resistant to change.
