I Would have Cincy #4, but it really doesn't matter because either Ohio State or Michigan falls behind them after next week. The Big 12 could sneak a team in, but jumping both ND and Cincy would be a stretch.
It won’t matter but I still think they put Cincinnati in the 4 slot.

I did at first too, but then felt they might put UM there just because "Power 5"... either way I dont think it matters anyway
Georgia/ Alabama
Ohio State/Michigan
These games will determine who gets in.
Are we looking at an all SEC B1G tournament?
Georgia
Alabama
Ohio St
Michigan
Cincy
ND/Ok St
Loser of OSU/Mich is out
If Alabama loses to Auburn or SEC championship ,they are out
If Cincy wins out including AAC Champ ,they are in .
The dust is starting to clear
questions to ponder : any chance Wisconsin could ruin it for big ten by winning big 10 champ game?
Will be interesting to see if ND not playing any type of champ game will hurt or help them ?

No, there's no way 2 Big Ten teams are getting in. Even if it's Michigan who beats Ohio State, the Buckeyes would be out. I see the only way two SEC teams get in as Georgia losing a close game to Alabama, but even then I have my doubts.
@roaminglion some way some how this is what the CFP committee wants. Ohio St, Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma State and they are leaving it up to Alabama and Oklahoma State to make this happen. Alabama and Oklahoma State win out this is what I see happening. As of today this is what they want
If Cincinnati was to lose this changes because they’d love to get ND in.
I dont see conspiracies, I think they are just voting for who they think are the best 4.
They don't care about money, because they arent the ones who make money off of it . They are just experts who were brought in to vote on it. They get paid the same no matter who gets in.
@roaminglion I don’t see conspiracies either I want 4 conference champs in there and I’d say the CFP committee does to. I didn’t mean it in a bad way I’ve always wanted conference champs in the playoffs. ND would represent the ACC of course. SEC champs, ACC best team, big 12 champ and big 10 champs would be awesome.
@southern-psu-fan ..I read about this 12 team format, but still think an 8 team playoff, would please us all; 5 power 5 conference champs, one non power 5 champ, and two wild cards..
It all seems so logical...must be the reason it doesn't pass..
What happens when Mich beats OSU and WI beats Mich in the championship game? GA beats AL in a close one.
GA
AL
CINN
ND

If the Big 12 champ has 2 losses than Alabama
@roaminglion say it plays out like this and Alabama was left out do you honestly believe Oklahoma/Oklahoma State, ND or Cincinnati could beat Alabama?
I'm a Bama fan; Cinn would give Bama an ass kicking this year. Let the popcorn start flying, lol.
@psu61 I personally don’t think any of them teams can beat the Tide that’s why I don’t think it’s necessary the best 4 teams, it’s the best 4 teams with the best record lol which is ok I guess we have to deal with it regardless until we get an eight team playoffs system

Ah, while an ass kicking and winning can be mutually inclusive, the win is not necessarily guaranteed, lol. I do say though that I'd like to see Cinn win out and get in; then let the chips fall as they may.
Again I will ask who has the SEC conference beaten out of conference? Where is the signature win? Why do they deserve 2 teams over a B1G conference or a Big 12 conference? If the B1G and Big 12 have a 1 loss conference champ they both belong in the playoff with Cincy and the SEC champion if the SEC champ only has 1 loss...Does a 2 loss SEC champ get in ahead of a 1 loss Notre Dame team that only has 1 loss to an undefeated Cincy? With the exception of wins over Miami and Clemson who has the SEC beaten out of conference? I argue that it may well be the 4th best conference in the country behind the B1G, Big 12 and PAC 12...It just seems to me that the games don't matter...Just put the 4 teams you want in at the beginning of the season and forget the schedule...It just seems like the whole thing is a farce to me...
@the-funeral-director The winner between Georgia and Alabama will kick the chit out of any teams they play in the NC game just wait and see brother it will be last year all over again. If you’re going to get Ohio St, Georgia, Alabama, Clemson you better get ‘em early in the year especially when these teams are breaking in new QB’s because when they start clicking it ain’t going to happen and Ohio St is a great example because no way does Oregon beat that bunch today Ohio State did what you should do and that’s get better as the year goes breaking in a new QB. Notice Clemson is also gettin better and I hate to say it but James Franklin needs to go because we didn’t get better we got worse.
Amen about having to get better as the season progresses and Franklin didn't. Should be bye-bye Jimmy.

My question to you is if 8-3 Texas A&M can beat them, why couldn't those teams?

Please explain how Alabama is "getting better"? Their last 2 games against SEC opponents have been very close.
They barely held on against an LSU team whose coach had been let go, then barely beat Arkansas. Yet you act like no one else could possibly hang with them.
@roaminglion I believe they’ve got better on offense and their QB might have a chance at the Heisman. I don’t care how close games are, it’s did you win or did you lose. You might care how close scores are but I don’t as long as you get the win.

So Alabama barely beating average LSU team and having other tight games doesn't matter, but Cincinnati having tight games does matter?
Just sounds like different standards for different teams.
And how do you claim a team is getting better when their games are getting tighter and tighter? Bama barely beats Florida and LSU, loses to A&M, and you're acting like they're going to just blow out anyone else in the CFP.
@roaminglion first off, has that baby girl been born yet? Hope everything is going great. Roam, what is the Tides Record and where are they ranked? That’s all that matter you know good and well LSU has the players to put a good game together and beat Georgia and Alabama
