unfortunately big time college football is professional football without a salary cap...i don't blame that kid for trying to milk another year for the bag and you would too if you could...Nobody would turn down 700k for a college football season...You would be a fool if you did...You didn't even include the money for doing commercials and endorsements...Look at the ESPN sponsored schools...They feature their stars in their promo commercials so I am sure those kids are getting paid...You see players from their conferences in those commercials and this is a way to funnel some money to the players of the schools they promote for their channel...This whole thing is a real cesspool...
I actually like Rising but yes 8 years is too much in my opinion.

The NCAA as far as big time football is concerned isn't even a paper tiger anymore...I believe the current system as it is doesn't have 2 seasons left...We may get this next season and in 2026 I think you are going to see a Super Conference in football...They are already laying it out and I don't even think the NCAA will have anything to do with it...I haven't seen anything concrete yet regarding the number of teams and how the geographic setup is going to be but the handwriting is on the wall...Lets be honest here...You have 34 schools right now between 2 conferences already...I am gonna guess they do 6 or 8 geographical conferences with 8 to 12 teams in each geographical conference...Northeast, Atlantic, Mid Atlantic, Southeast, southwest, midwest, Plains, Mountain and West...something like that...I don't think this is a matter of if but a matter of when and the when part is in a couple years I believe...
@the-funeral-director I believe I’ll like it much better because the way you laid that out we should just have some kind of championship where you have to win to get in the playoffs? This was so easy to fix we have 4 power conferences just take 4 conference champs and let them settle it on the field.

The simple way to do it is if they do an 8 division conference geographically you take each conference champ and run an 8 team playoff...Each division champ advances...Even the current 12 team playoff is a sham...They are going to stack this thing with 5 teams from 1 conference...They are already spinning it...Then watch the seedings...That is how they are going to control this thing...Watch how they seed these teams and who plays who...Some of these teams are going to have 3 losses and they are gonna put em in instead of a 1 loss team or even an undefeated team...and the joke is they are already trying to convince you that some of these teams with 2 losses now are better than teams that don't have a loss...This is the nonsense they are trying to sell...The thing is I ain't buying it...
